I play my rounds with the Firmness option set to normal.  I don't know if I am imagining things but the bounces on Black Swan seem to be higher and occur more often than other courses.  My question to those who have worked with Unity and CF is this.  Are there different green and fairway surfaces or textures that can be chosen when created a course  where something like bounces are more pronounced?  Thanks.

I,'ve not seen any way to alter the
ground physics in CF. I suppose it's
possible to assign a physics property
to any ground mesh, but I see no need
to do so.
I think there are some courses that
have not been updated to the newer
physics and reacting oddly. That's a
guess and someone will possibly shed
more light on your question.

Theoretically, you can change physics in CF, but currently, PG locks all that down.   The Swan has some crazy slopes on it, that's gotta be what you saw.
