Are there any other games besides True Golf, Links, WGT, and Winning Putt. As of Feb 24, True Golf will be shutting down also. Was just wondering.

HB Studios are developing The Golf Club fpr PC, XBOXONE and PS4.

It will be coming to Steam as a closed BETA in the coming weeks and then they are opening it up to everyone as an Early Access title a little further down the line.

Game is being designed using Unity (like Perfect Golf) and also has a Course Generator/Designer.

That looks badass. I'll be playing that too. I like the 4 click course generator.

I'm out of TGC for now as they don't plan to implement a 3 click into the open or closed beta. Some of the things they don't have in the beginning reminds me too much about TWO. I will buy this game once it has a working 3 click and a drop zone. I will not pay for a 25% ready game again and wait for patches. For some reason I think that HB Studios simply copies TW Series and tries to do some things better. So I will have a very close look at it before I buy it. :)

Who cares...

Yes and if you noticed, the skies are all blurry in TGC's screenshots, that is an EA trait for sure, TWO had the same thing in the beginning until we got them to fix it... Very ugly stuff...

However, to be fair, I really do like the way the graphics look, especially the desert rocks...

Done with designing.

Released Courses: Real

The Golf Club @ Dove Mnt. AZ

Amana Colonies Iowa

Fictional:

well, there are a lot of golf games as you wrote up here but it depends what you are looking for, i mean, if you like a simulation or an arcade mode is enough for your game style, dont no. There are some interesting golf games but as all, we want more and more!!!

Why, didn't TWO have an online community?

It was called Tiger Woods Online afterall, lol.

Stinky WGT until this or that comes out. Started playing WGT two weeks before EA pulled the plug on TWO. I wanted to know my way around, so I wouldn't be a lost sheep looking for the rest of the herd. I'm guessing, that, until Perfect Golf is absolutely "PERFECT", it won't be released, and that's okay with me. I'd rather start out with a fantastic game, than kinda good. I do hope, that PP will listen to their customer base, when a bug is found, and or, something needs to be fixed, unlike EA and TWO was. Even WGT is having technical difficulties right now. All those video's you need to watch to get points to buy more expensive balls, is down.

Try ogc open at www.ogcopen.com.I've been using it since the demise of Tiger woods online. Its a little crude but you can get by with no expenditure.Don't like WTG although it is realistic

I don't think there are many "new" and "modernized" golf games to choose from.  if you are referring to older golf games, then yes, there are many to choose from.  Besides, I prefer quality over quantity.  You can have a dozen golf games that are suddenly created this year, but if most of them are lousy golf games, then who cares! lol

I got a PS2 emulator and have downloaded Tiger Woods PGA 2004, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9 and 10 lols!!!

I started off at 2004 because I remember that game and I loved it, so I thought what the hell, I got the memory for it, might as well go for the jackpot!! Theyt seem to get progressively more difficult on the puttinjg surface as tuhe series goes by, oh well I will get used to it in time and by the time I get to 10 PP should be out :-D yay!!

Oh and why did I get the PS2 versions of the series?

because the PC ones suck big adams........'apple' let's say, lols!!

all that messing around with a bleeding mouse back and forwards  - forget that!! there's nothing to compare with 'W' forward, 'S' back and 'tap like hell on 'insert' as u pull back (power boost), lols!!! besides once I get hold of a fully analogue USB gamepad I'll have those to flick back and forward - the point being 'back and then forward on the mouse is the biggest pile of pooh bear ever to have introduced itself to computer golf - in my opinion of course (and besides, you get the aiming arrow back and zoom forward with the PS2 versions of the game - it's just superior in terms of game enjoyment for me)
