An active member of TWO's Caddyshack group. the news of EA's TWO shutdown hit us like a ton of bricks.  Over the last 2.5 years i've  become quite close with many players in the group .  Retired I spend a lot of time online with these players, laughing, playing golf, having tournaments, discussing the latest, shootin the bull.  Every morning rain or shine this armchair golfer would gather wih the buds and hit the links. The thought of all this coming to an end was devastating not just to myself but my friends as well.  Just when all hope was lost a ray of light poked thru the darkness and directed us to Perfect parallel.  The concept of a group country club.  The answer to all our prayers, now we can continue to carry on a caddyshack tradition.  Three thousand members waiting desparately for any and all information we can aquire to build a Caddyshack Country Club and immerse ourselves in such a realistic and dedicated golf environment.  Thank you, Thank you, Thank you!

Same here, buddy. Just lead all your 8'436 members over here and this game will be a huge success. And dibs on the Stoners Club (Redux).

Yeah. Definitely direct them here. This community will be immensely helpful in developing PP if we can get a few hundred or thousand member's worth of ideas flowing through.

I also was shocked by EA's decision to shut down their online golf games. I as are you am also retired and have played the EA game since it's closed beta phase of development and belong to a much smaller group than Caddyshack but love playing with my group as well. It's a shame that EA's corporate greed has put its core paying players in this position. I am anxiously waiting for this game to go online and hope that it will become so much greater than EA's mess of a game that we will soon forget that that thing ever existed.

German Golfers has a bunch of members too which will go to PG once it goes live. I know from around 100 players that can't wait. The only problem is the language :D Many of our members don't speak english well, so I keep them informed in our forum. But I'm sure many of our inactive players are still reading in our forums and they know whats going on here :)

Nun stellt Euch nicht so an, ihr German Golfers. Englisch ist die Sprache des Internets und Ihr kriegt das doch bestimmt hin.

As for our english-speaking friends, I'd like to say to our German partners on their behalf: "We haff veys of making you talk!"

I was going to say the same thing.  If PP would have implemented KickStarter right now, instead of in January, I think they may have reached their goal.  Over at TWO, it's like turning on the lights at a motel in Florida and watching the cock-roaches scatter. lol.  Many, many TWO players didn't know or care about PP until EA pulled the plug.

Signatures?  We don't need no stinkin' signatures.

That was the best thing about MsGolf2001 and LinkLS2000: the community. It sounds sad but I met a lot of good friends on there, even though I never met them in real life/ The golf was secondry a lot of the time, I would laugh my ass off for 18 holes.

Mav, I totally agree. Using the gaming Zone was a blast. You could chat before the game started etc. I really miss those times.

Hope PP is able to bring back some of the joy I had playing golf with ppl from all over the world.

Me and my cousin used to play all the time and built some good online friendships. I used the love the ball flight view too of my opponents. There were quite a few Germans playing there and remember getting my brother to download Gut Kaden onto cd as my Internet was limited. Then challenging the Germans.....they I usually won!

Use to have hours of fun playing powerstroke online with players from the UK, Germany and the US. Also used to play Ryder Cup style tournaments at Bombers Tour.

Played some of my best golf online. Can't seem to replicate it offline :-(  Really hope PP takes off and we can get a lot of old friends back!

Yeah it is just like in a soccer game :D :D :D

I met so many people. I was playing for USA Eagles, one of the best Links 2003 groups ever. We had members from all over the world and it was a blast playing with ppl which just woke up shortly before I went to bed. Not sure how many games make this possible. I can't wait to get some of that back. Really miss all the old friends and hope that some of em will find their way here :)
