I thought it might be a good idea for CF designers to showcase what they consider to be signature holes on their new creations. I'm sure the forum would be excited to see what they have in store when the game is released.

Anyway, to start the ball rolling this is the par 3 18th at my one and only creation Downland Golf Course. It's a fictional but (I hope) believable parkland course.

The 18th is a Par 3 and 190 yards from the back tee and drops down to the clubhouse. There is a bunker short right nestled in a hollow. The green has two tiers and has a small depression towards the front left. You shouldn't need any more than a 5 iron on a still day.

All my course 'props' were sourced via the Sketchup Warehouse.

Thank you very much Curtis. CF is really a lot of fun to use. It's got me hooked as much as PG.

I'm sorry that you had to voice your grievance on this thread. This was intended to whet people's appetite not to make them envious.

Looks superb Ian... a 'proper' course, and although fictional, I'm sticking a pin in the map somewhere in East Sussex as our first European course. ;)

Looks amazing and does indeed have that "real" look.  The two tiered green looks it will be quite a challenge if you overshoot the pin placement on your screenshots.  My question which I am sure many are wondering is when will we be able to play it???

Thank you slouis. I hope it will be sooner rather than later. It really is a powerful tool and I've only used one of Mike's packaged CF projects, so I've not altered anything that was provided. I've just added a few free Sketchup models for a bit more character.

Just seen someone legging it down the driveway with the mower, lol.

Nice work fella.

Thank you Acrillix.

Would any other designers like to show off their signature holes?

Haven't given much thought to a signature hole,
Happy to contribute when a decision is made.

Fine job on Downland Ian, you've come a long
way since the Unity 4 days.

Thanks Daz. This course is set in the sunny south of England, with low crime rates. The mower is perfectly safe.:-)

Quite the challenge tee there K11.  We're going to need some good mountain climbing skills or a helicopter for this one.

Whoa, sorry, got a little vertigo there for a second.

Terrific hole K11, love the challenge tee, and

the video was very entertaining, thanks.

Very cool! And very impressive. Looking forward to playing 5 Sisters and the other courses now being developed by the talented designers.

Jeez, how am I going to follow that? I guess I have some work to do.

I have a few courses in the can. I thought the easiest thing to do would be to pick one hole from each one.... turns out I really like 17th holes. I guess there's something about that particular place in a round.

The Prelude #17

2016-02-11_00020_zpsg1vs1q6a.jpg

Mesquite Valley #17 - an homage to the road hole at St. Andrews.... in the desert (and backwards!).

2016-02-11_00022_zpsyvd7crwj.jpg2016-02-11_00021_zps3x8bhhxs.jpg

Sapphire Lake #17 (Three 17th holes in a row and two driveable par-fours. I didn't realize I repeated myself so much!)

2016-02-11_00008_zpsmiysqdu1.jpg

Jersey Hills #5 - maybe not an interesting hole on first inspection, but this green is absolutely one of my favorites that I've ever made. There are pin positions in the swale.

Reservoir #9 - was always a tough tee shot in the Links version, and remains so in PG.

Now you're just showing off Matthew! Superb work.
My favourite has got to be the 17th at The Prelude.

I agree.  #17 looks awesome on Prelude.  I saw a video of zmax playing it on the sim.  Great design!!
