I doubt it will be built in. We'll probably just have to resort to Ventrilo, Skype, etc.

Teamspeak might be another option.
Often used it in racing games like Race '07 that don't provide their own chat facility (like iRacing does) and the voice chat works OK.

I am sure we will provide some sort of audio comms but might be limited to country clubs so casual online people will have to use their own or a community one
thanks andrew

Im playing Planet Side 2 at the moment. Its rather fun and the coms is great. You can use a proximity chat so only the people near you can hear what you are saying or speak in clan or speak in team. You cant do that with Vent/TS

As I always disable ingame sounds, this doesn't bother me too much. I enjoy playing golf and meenwhile listen to some relaxing music

I have played Links 2003 using gameranger and direct connect recently. Gameranger is similar to what I've understood PP is considering for online play using a country club. My comment though is about the direct connect (peer to peer) which uses some difficult to utilize microsoft directplay protocols which are not reliably passed by all ISPs. Now if PP could get Skype interested in support transfer of gaming data peer to peer like they do voice, video and file transfers, that could provide an integrated platform for peer to peer gaming with voice support.
