I'm only posting this on PG's website, rather than an tech help site, because this site, along with the APCD and LinksAnimasters site are the only sites where I am experiencing the problem. Both APCD and LinkAnimasters use the same website software as PG but, the versions among the sites vary.

When I try to use the "quote" button, the system correctly opens a reply box, but it does not paste in the selected quoted text. It's just blank. Neither the copy or paste icons, within the reply message box, work for me either. Nor do the Crtl C, Crtl. V, keyboard commands.

I've just noticed that Font, Font Size,, and Color buttons are not working either. For example, if I select text to change the font color. The highlighted text is deselected immediately when I click the font color icon. Therefore, the color change never occurs.

:) work

Indent works

Alignment works

Ctrl X (cut) works

I would really appreciate someone's help in resolving this, because it has really handicapped me.

TO THE PG BETA TESTERS:  This issue does not appear to be a java issue because I can readily access and use the PG Bug & Features Reporting site without any problems. In other words copy and paste work there.

Sorry Richard, gave up on IE many years back. Firefox and Chrome are the only two browsers on my PC these days.

:(

Did find this over at apcd-courses, for a potential fix to a similar issue folks had when upgrading to IE10, where dropdown menus on the OWGC Tour site wouldn't work in IE10:-

Sounds like you recently upgraded to IE 10, if you go up to the address bar, in between the circling arrow and magnifying glass is what looks like a box with jagged edges. If that is the problem clicking on that box will fix it. You may have to repeat this whenever your antivirus wipes out your browser cookies and settings.

Press F12, then change "browser mode" to Internet Explorer 10 and see if that helps.

Shimonko, you are FANTASTIC!! Your solution works, however it does result in the pages not displaying right but the functionality is back.

I'm going to report this to Andrew and see what he can do to make the website compatible with IE11. I suspect that there's probably a website vendor patch, but what the hell do I know. Hopefully, it doesn't mean that PG needs to pay for a new version of their website software.

This works to a point, However it scrambles the layout of the web pages. See attached "screenshot".

I think that I finally found the ultimate solution regarding IE. I uninstalled IE 11 and installed IE 10. IE 10 solves the issues raised in this thread and also STILL allows me access to the PG Bugs & New Features tool.

Geez, what a hassle this has been. I've spent a whole day working this problem, but at least, for now (keep your fingers crossed), I've solved the problem.

Now I can get back to the real important business of testing PG. Shimonko, thanks again for your assistance. You provided the insight that I needed to solve this issue.

Unless you have to use IE it's best not to, because you can be sure more issues will come up.

If I run IE11 in 10 mode I don't get the layout issues you're showing. Everything looks ok.

You've gone back to 10, but for others with the issue, I noticed IE11 has completely rearranged the Developer Tools that F12 brings up, so what I called "Browser mode" is now called "Document mode", under the Emulation tab.

I agree with you completely regarding IE 11. I would never had upgraded from IE 9 except for the fact that I was having issues with the PG Bugs & Feature Tool. Thankfully, IE 10 solves both that problem and the one identified in this topic.

Rather, than cluttering up the forums even more with this issue. I sent a PM to both Andrew and Mike to make them aware of the compatibility issue. Hopefully they will arrive at a permanent fix.

All is well now involving both issues.

I consider this issue resolved.

Back to beta testing finally!!!

Since I reverted to IE 10, I've not had any issues on this site, or for that matter, on any other sites. You might want to give it a try. I have no idea what MS did to 'screw up' IE 11 so badly.
