I'd like to know how things are re stuff like framerates (on default settings) and what sort of temperatures GPUs and CPUs are running at with the latest build.

The reason I ask is that Links 2003 runs very cool on my system but TGC runs quite hot especially on my GPU (R9 270x) albeit with decent framerates and at high detail.  The fan is audibly much louder with TGC and it needs to be.  So where does Perfect Golf fit in?

GPU is relatively unstressed, a lot of load is taken by the CPU so you don't have to have the latest and greatest 3d card. As far as card, cpu and Motherboard temperatures are concerned it's so specific to your system ie: type of processor, cooling, clock speeds, dust etc that it's impossible to generalise as everyone's system will run things at different temperatures.

I find that PG is a lot less stressful on the hardware than what TGC was. Granted, TGC had changes made as plenty of folks were saying their GPU's were under stress, but I no longer frequent the TGC boards or play their game (deleted), so any further changes made since 2-3 weeks ago I will be unaware of.

For me, PG perfoems like Links and I currently have no issues with the game.

(Basic specs are in sig).

I'm curious if PG will support dual video cards with crossfire?

I have 2 amd radeon hd 6700 cards, but I believe the game has to support crossfire in order to utilize both cards...

Thks-

Tim

Thanks for that Mike.  I appreciate that everyone's system is different  but I'm just after some actual CPU and GPU temperatures/load figures thrown in with whatever PG's testers system specs are.

Better still would be anyone that has Links2003, TGC and is a current tester of PG.  At least we would gain an inkling as to how intensive/hot etc PG is compared to the other golf games listed.   I'll put some figures for Links and TGC in the morning so that folks see where I'm coming from and perhaps folk can do likewise for PG  :)

Apologies, my typing fail.

I find PG a 'lot less' stressful on the GPU than what TGC was.

Would be interested to know if SLI/Crossfire are being supported natively or need to be by drivers- I have a top end water-cooled system running 4770k @ 4.2 GHZ, 16GB ram and GTX780ti in SLI on a 2560*1440 monitor and TGC is a dog to run- not that I run it very much due to crappy graphics and being in the middle of a tour of Australia in the wonderful Don Bradman Cricket 14 via Steam

You'll be fine with that system bud, And after what Dazmaniac said about game, I'm sure of it, SLI or Crossfire won't be needed , especially with your 780ti and 4770. I build systems on side and I'm a gamer. So unless game is optimized very poorly it should run great.
