Under project you should see a file called course1. Double click that and then double click human height under tthe heirachy.

Hi Mike, thanks for the videos!  I've followed your first few videos, on installing and setting up CF and Unity, however when i got to your first tutorial on navigating around etc, i just have a blank grey canvas, no grass and trees etc like in your example.

As a complete beginner to all this, is there any tutorials as to starting a course from scratch? I would love to start making courses but have never used this stuff before!

Apologies for the noob questions, and keep up the good work.

Cheers,

J

Hey Drgnslyr221, thanks.......lol i just went back into Unity before i read your post and imported CF again and noticed the course1 file!

Not sure what happened the first time i imported....probably just didn't notice the folders lol!

All good, i have a landscape now thanks!

Is that course 1 the only way to start building a course, or can we make a fresh landscape with no trees and then add them as we go? Also how do we import height maps to recreate real courses?

I would leave height maps alone for now, just create your first course and learn from it, i would also go with the landscape you have, but you can always manipulate it or flatten it completely along with removing any trees etc to suit your needs.

Before trying to run, I would advise learning to walk first. You can still remove the trees and change the landscape on a pre-made plot.

Im only supporting the tutorial course for the time being but we will have preset projects for you to truly have a blank canvas in future.

In those everything will be already set up so to make it easier but the terrain will be blank and ready for importing real course overhead images and heightmaps.
