So I had finished 9 holes and made the course, I played and all was good untill I hit into a water hazard and found myself hitting from underwater. So I got back into unity and opens the project and it was blank. I still had course forge loaded but everything was gone can't seem to find it anywhere. Is it possible to grab the course from the pg\ courses folder and get back to it. I save scenes and project several times and can't find anything now?
Is this a lost cause now?

It's highly unlikely the course is lost, it's more likely that it has been misplaced either by opening the wrong folder or not loading the correct scene. If you could post a screenshot of what you're seeing in your project it would help us to help you.

I learned that you cannot rename the folder for the project in Windows/File Explorer.  Doing so removes the project from Unity.  Even renaming it back to the way it was didn't help.  There might be a way to recover it, but it was my first par 3 following the tutorials, so it wasn't a huge loss to me.  I created another hole, a par 4, last night to practice my .... cough, cough .... skills.

For the most part, I seem to be able to get around in Unity and CF, except for the layers - I haven't watched those tutorials yet.  The biggest thing I need to work on is the terrain sculpting.  I can make flat areas pretty easily, but any gradual slopes or raising lowering terrain will take some practice to learn how the opacity affects things.  Like if I wanted to raise a 'row' of terrain, perhaps 12" wide and 6" higher than the surrounding terrain .... practice/play/mess up/ flatten and start over.  :)
