Just got done roughing out 18 for my first course: Oak Hollow. Here's a sneak peek at what the planting and general feel will be.

The rough on the left seems to be floating by that nearest tree.

Cool - Don't forget you have more tree types available from Speedtree pack if you want them. What time of day are you playing, it looks very dark?

I haven't even started thinking about the lighting. It doesn't look that dark in game. I think it's because I'm copying/pasting to Paint.

You don't have to change any lighting settings in CF I'm just wondering what time of day you are playing in the actual game? Try turning dynamic sky off and see how it looks as many people play that way.

It's not nearly as dark on my monitor. It's just when I post it. It's not that dark when I look at it locally.

Well that's the main thing :)  I like the texture painting you are doing under the trees.

Terrain got deleted so I just submitted a final version that is not nearly as good as I wanted it to be, but at least it's not a complete loss. Still pretty happy with it as a first course.

Mike might have a way to recover from you final build if you did not back up your Terrain. You might want to PM him and ask for help.

Sorry to hear that - Backing up terrain and scene is pretty much essential as although the heightmap ie the elevations can be recovered from a playable file, the locations of the texture painting grasses and trees will be gone. Looking forward to giving it a spin.

Will the shapes still be there? Because Honestly repainting and replanting would take less time than going back to my backup from three weeks ago. I spent a lot more time elevating than planting.
