Hello all and welcome to the other side of the artificially arbitrary temporal waypoint that is the New Year.

Time for a celebratory video to mark the occasion of the year of PG. 15 holes at Massachusetts CC (aka Boston TPC). There is a gap on holes 7 to 10 due to an incoming phone call during recording and me forgetting to restart the recording for a bit.

This video here is in 1080p full HD, so do ask Vimeo for the HD service to see it in all it's glory. There are a few blurry patches and motion artefacts, I'm afraid, but these are not in the game and stem from the video workflow set in place to bring them to your screen.

Have a good year!

Thank you for the video Kablammo. The game is starting to look really nice but it appears as if the avatar is playing under a dark cloud. The video seems quite dark although there seems to be sunlight in the middle distance. The picture above looks nice and bright so I'm assuming that the darkness isn't actually present in the game.
I thought that the avatar's swing would be in real time with the input.
I personally don't like the three click method in any golf game so I'm looking forward to seeing how the mouse/gamepad works in PG.

Much thanks for uploading the video K11.  It was nice to watch while eating breakfast this morning. :)

Has the first person mode (mentioned on Perfect Parallel's Steam page) been implemented yet?  That would be nice to use for getting an angle closer to the ground, rotating the camera and zooming in/out for green reading.

Knighters- The developers are working on having the avatar's swing in real time with the input.

Happy New Year everyone!

Of course it is quite dark! That's not a game thing, though, but a me-thing: I set the round to 7 p.m. time of day, resulting in a low sun with long shadows. That's the thing with using dynamic weather - you don't get perfect light all the time. It's all in the settings - which are at your command. I just felt in a mellow mood and wanted to replicate the feeling of getting a late evening round in before nightfall. So, yeah, it's dark, as in deep shadows-dark. And that's not a game problem, it's a great asset, that as a user you get to be your own weather man.

Yesrushdt, first person mode (and free roaming) is imminent, I'm told - Mike is already frothing at the mouth in anticipation, it's a dream come true for him.

Admit it, you're a tight-wad, lol.

Only playing at 7pm because you get the twilight discount on your green fee, lol.

:D :D :D

Thanks K11 for another great video...  I was wondering about the sand shots, in this one or the other video that was posted you hit one out of the sand but I saw no splash of sand from the shot- did you pick it clean or is this something that should show up in a more polished version later...??

Can't wait till we can play a round together, been a long time-

Too long, Tim.

The particle effect of a sand blast is not in the game yet, correct. Many little bits still missing, Rome wasn't built in a day.

Cool to see that there's someone else here that plays GTAV online. :)   My Xbox Live Gold membership just ran out, but feel free to catch me on the PC version if you happen to get that at the end of the month (same screen name as here).  The golf game on there is very arcadey but fun to play.

Do you have Tiger Woods 08 for PC?  I've been playing it on Gameranger over the last few years since the EA Sports Online service for that title was dropped.  Very worth checking out if you're looking for an online golf game to play until PerfectGolf comes out.
