JNPG

I have noticed if you hit your tee shot into a hazard on your next shot from the tee box it retains the penalty on your third shot.

You should be hitting your third shot from the tee, re teeing (or drop) counts as a stroke.

He means the lie penalty I believe, ie your shot from the tee (your 3rd) is then subject to a lie penalty which it should not be.

Meaning the user should be able to re-tee, correct?

Just wondering if this has ever been fixed for the Simulator version.  This works fine on PC click play with no ball penalty added on the next shot but not on the sim.

When you hit a ball into any hazard showing a penalty(example of 10%).  You decide to then use the hand icon and re hit.  You are placed back on the tee or where ever you were on the previous shot and applied stroke and penalty, which is fine but then the next shot you take you are also still applied the penalty of where your shot had landed and showed for example 10%.

I've seen this recently also.  It still does this and you don't need to use the hand icon.  It does this in team formats also.

Example:  you partner hits his ball into a bunker and his ball plugs and you hit it in the fairway.  Your team selects the fairway ball.  The teammate that was in the bunker will still get the plugged lie penalty.

Just wanted to make sure PG is aware that this is still an issue for Simulator play only so when you do start working on updates you can work this one in.  It has been this way from day one when that icon was added.  It works as it should for PC click play but not working in sim play.

Would also like the drop option to work as it should, ie in effect the unplayable lie is pretty much the same drop option as a lateral hazard drop option.

I would think therefore that actioning the button could therefore simply call up the lateral(red) hazard procedure, ie play as lies or drop within 2 club lengths, or straight line between point of drop and pin, or rehit from original position.

This would be good as would allow further scouting of the current position before deciding to take the as it lies with no penalty, and also allow the cycling of the drop options to see if viable before taking the last option of the rehit

This is pretty much how itd work in real life isnt it?

Actually this would not solve the original request for this button.  This button was requested to help out people who have hit it deep into the trees hit continue (because they have auto continue on and are not in a hazard and find themselves with no way out of the trees.  Getting a two club length drop is not going to help at all and depending on where the pin is going back in line with the pin may just put you even deeper into the trees so the solution was to offer a rehit option.  Think of it like a lost ball.

I agree, but if you stuck right up against a tree, a building or in some bushes etc, the button could also act as the unplayable lie, which would make the function even more useful than it currently is. The option to rehit still needs to be there but the other options of play as it lies, 2 club and drop in line are options that are available in real life and hopefully could be available in game, unless you wish this button to just be a lost ball button.

As it stands there is no relief available for an unplayable lie, or free relief option due to the "blue" hazards not functioning in CF. Whilst it wouldn't totally solve the "blue" hazard issue as would still suffer the 1 stroke penalty,  it would certainly help in a variety of situations.

The carrying over of the hazard penalty is for sure the more pressing issue, especially with rehit being the only option currently, so already having a stroke and distance penalty, to have a lie penalty also is pretty much killing the functionality as the moment
