I honestly don't see the Windows 10 version coming out til Q1 2018.
Valid question on re-purchasing the courses.

I won't be surprised if course purchases are separate for the w10 version as it's likely to have more detail, 3d grass, perhaps other additions and modifications to take advantage of the newer technologies.
That's fine i can understand that, so PP need to have an honest discussion with us as to when the new version is "likely" to be released?, i have bought every DLC up to this point and was happy to do so, but we keep getting info about the xb1/win10 versions commingling out "SOON", and i'm not going to buy any more DLC until we get some more info about this, if the new version is not coming out until next year that's fine i'll buy the new DLC, if it's coming in a few weeks/months ill wait simples.

Doc,
I know some are getting black fairways and pink trees on Mac. They guys are working on a fix.

Honest question, but did that come from a developer at any point and I missed it?
I think there a few forum members who may have pumped the accelerator on this concept themselves in a bit of "wishful thinking" more than anything else.
I really have no idea of any timeline re: next versions, etc.

I can state quite emphatically and without the fear of contradiction, that neither Andrew or Mike have at any time, given a specific timeline for any or all updates, whether in the past or the future.
Given their set of circumstances, the trials and tribulations incurred when doing any build, it would be totally fool hardy to do otherwise.
As always patience is still needed and such patience, I'm certain, will be duly rewarded for us all.
So you assumptions are probably quite correct.

@Vern: totally agree - I think the only way to infer progress at the moment would be if Mike shares a video of that 3d grass at some point.
The conversation has seemed to cool quite a bit since the screenshots of it awhile back now...

This.
I'm ready to pull out the wallet for reflective versions of all our existing DLC..
Paging Mike....
Are you serious?! The multiplayer community is greatly fragmented now. If this is implemented and one cannot play another if both are not on reflective or non reflective versions it would completely kill the community. The community is multiplayer with a voip program. All else is just extra fluff. When I make a suggestion in this game, it is for the betterment of all, not just the few.

Like I said in the other thread we pushed a fix today for the pink trees on MAC AND the ability to play reflective and non reflective courses online together (Hopefully... I was unable to test)

Devils Island
Interesting problem with grass on Devils Island, the grass is not planted at the correct height, it`s being planted much lower than it should be , i have also noticed this on my previous course and current wip also noticed this on a few other members courses as well.

This is low level planting to give an impression of 3d until turf effects gets here - its not a bug.
If you want to plant a complete grass object on a mesh in CF on your course simply extend your grass graphic file down to create a space under it of the required height and then add one pixel of green at the bottom of the file, make sure you create a new alpha channel and then you can display the grass object in it's entirety to sit on top of the mesh if that's what you want to do.

The "community" is whoever plays the game, not just MP's.
There are a number of people do not now/will never make use of MP.
To say anything else is just miscellaneous fluff.

Has anyone managed to try reflective and non reflective playing online together per Andrews interim fix?
Didn't work for me when I tried it last night.
The game loaded for me as the host with the R course version, but my uncle on Non-R got stuck loading and then the game eventually froze and caused us both to quit and start over.

Here's a 30min real time round at Devil's Island if anyone wants a fuller idea of the course and challenge before purchase. Obviously you can skip around as required. On a side note, it's played at Pro level, calm/normal/normal/12 stimp using RTS-M horizontal and shows some scrambling techniques to make up for several wayward drives and approach shots in order to get around in a decent 68 despite hitting only 33% GIR and including a bonkers Mickelson flop from the rocks late on (at about 25mins mark).

I am glad my "community" talks to each other. Imagine a world where no one spoke to one another. You version sounds awfully cold and lonely. Therefore in the context I am talking about I believe I was correct.
