Hi,

 

sorry if discussed before. Anyone using with Skytak and get issues of it freezing? Only happens in JNPG doesnt happen in Skytraks own software, so they pushed me here.

 

Starting to get to a point now where its a pain, only solution is to close the pgsim software and then slip simulator type in control settings from skytrak and back to relaunch pgsim and reconnect. Or just close it all restart all.

 

All green lights are on skytrak, laser dot is up but its just locked up. (usually laser dissapears from time to time).

 

Anyone else seen this?

 

Im running win 10 64 bit, core i7, 16Gb RAM, GTX 970 and skytrak is a direct usb connection.

The connection with JNPG and the ST using JNPG's software is buggy. I have 10-15 no reads a round, but never have issues with the ST Range App. I wish they would fix it or help diagnose it, as its making me regret the purchase of JNPG no matter how many courses there are.

We have pushed a new console application to steam which includes many stability fixes for skytrak.  Not the least of which is you an just turn the skytrak off and on again mid round and all will be ok.  I have no idea what could cause the skytrak to stop picking up shots, but we have added the ability to disarm and arm the skytrak in the sim console so you can try that if it gets stuck.

The sim connector is now so so so very unreliable. I never had problems, loved the game. Now every 4-5 shot is a no read - and you have to re-arm or switch to putting and back to make it pick up. Very unhappy, considering it now a waste of money. The Skytrak range app never ever has problems. This connector does.
And now i have the demo of another golf SIM, i can attest that it has no issues reading shots either. It's just JNPG.

I am really not sure what is going on with your system as most people are reporting that the number of missed shots is much lower if not gone away completely.  I was round at a friends house the other day and in three games we had two shots that did not read.  I know from your comments it does not happen on other sims so its clearly something we need to get to the bottom of.  I am guessing it is a function of different speeds on different PCs that causes mutliple commands to the Skytrak to arrive at the same time which potentially locks the device.  

I am happy to work with you on coming up with a fix but you will have to work with us on this.  Let me know.

Same problem here.
It 's mostly on tee, Skytrak freezes.
Sometimes it helps to rearm in the interface, but I have to restart everything 3-4 times a round.
It's almost unusable.
Does not matter if connection is via network or usb.
