I would like to have just the Normal Greens settings like we used to have.

Can someone explain what happens to a green you design if someone sets it to Realistic or Perfect?

Do those settings somehow manipulate the surface/elevations of the green from the way they were made in CF?

So if I make the greens one way, are these 2 options somehow changing that?

How can I get the greens to just be the way I make them in the CF?

In other words which one of the 2 settings, will leave the greens pretty much the way I designed them? If at all.

Well, Perfect Greens are what we've always had, or I'm not understanding what you're asking.

Oh I thought before Bumpy was introduced, we just had one setting for greens. Normal?

Anyway, what I'm asking is does Perfect do something to the greens I build? Or does Perfect, leave them as they are?

Which to me, doesn't make sense.

Maybe the question just hasn't been asked before?

Why would we have a choice of Perfect greens, if I made greens that aren't Perfect, does that setting straighten them out?

Or does the Realistic setting, leave my greens as they were made?

Yeah, Perfect is perfectly flat.  Realistic adds in some possible minor perturbations to the putt to simulate spike marks, uneven grass, etc.  Bumpy is just slightly more unevenness.

Right, so that takes away from the way I may build a green. If I have subtle rolls on the greens I build in CF and Perfect changes that, what's the point of it?

What setting would allow users to play my greens the way I designed them? If Perfect. flattens them out?

What does Realist do?

What's the point of me putting undulations or little subtle breaks into a green if they are Always changed when your playing the course in Game? Can't there be a setting that just leaves the greens the way they were made in CF?

"Perfect" is how you design, build them in CF.

If you play with "Realistic" or "Bumpy" there is a certain "error" (for want of a better word) applied to your putt...it might slightly drift left or right.

Perfect doesn't flatten your green, it still has the subtle breaks. It just means the put goes where you hit it.

Ok gotcha! Now that makes Perfect sense to me. Lol Thanks

None of the 3 settings change your greens.

Realistic and bumpy just randomly kick your ball left or right occasionally so it doesn't follow the same path each time. Perfect doesn't do this.

I got it. I wanted it clarified because sometimes when ppl are testing a course, they might say, hey, that green on hole 9 difficult pin is not fair and needs smoothing or flattening, Well, Now, one of my first questions is, "are you playing on perfect, realistic or bumpy".

If they're on perfect then I will look into their findings, if they are on realistic or bumpy, I can ignore findings.

Thanks all for the help..

Well, bumpy isn't going to change a 2 degree slope into a 5 degree slope.
