It is a feel and visual thing at present...
How the ball reacts is likely to be as accurate as you would expect, and as well as you can hit the ball. Suffice to say, any missing of the snap may give you a slice or hook, it will also impact on distance. The game is built around a simulation of the game, so if you're seriously out there in the rough, you may need to consider your next shot is a recovery one..

I just turn the grid on to see the elevation of the lie. Maybe that would help you to see what you need

Knowing the lie would be nice, It cost me a few strokes in a sand trap before i realized it was buried and had to adjust to hit top of the ball.
