Hello everyone,

 

I was curious where some designers are getting their larger bushes and vegetation, plantings. I imagine there are some online resources and I imagine some are made by the designers. For instance on Dogz courses I see some of the similar bushes and plants I've seen in The Golf Club. Is there a way to use those in Course Forge and where would i get them? I appreciate any guidance that can be given.

If you can narrow down the bush or bushes in question i can help, none are from TGC btw,  you may mean certain grasses at one of my courses (forget the name) if so tcheck the ones i have sent you in PM.

plant sparingly, they can cause fps issues unless you can tweak the Lod, they also have a wind shake applied to the leaf, you would need to go into the settings and knock it off.

Thanks DoGgz. I think I remember seeing those yellow bushes in some of your older courses that were similar to what I've seen in the past, so that is where that comes from. At any rate I really appreciate the sharing. Do you alter the SpeedTree trees LOD's as well? Seems like someone was talking about something like that.

 

Also thanks for the advice about planting. I've redone the vegetation on this current course a few times already. I like my textures, trees and layout. It's all about get the right amount of plantings in without putting the FPS in the lower end for the average user.

the yellow plants are stock,  when you add grasses just type grass and scroll thru, they are there somehwere.
