Hi there. A newie question here.

Is there any kind of limitation to use the course forge assets in Unity for any other particular project not Perfect Golf related?

Is Nicklaus design CourseForge (Unity package) included with the Jack Nicklaus Perfect Golf game on Steam shop?

Thanks,

CF is included with purchase of the PG game.

CF basically just allows you to draw meshes close

to the Unity terrain and texture them, along with adding

Pins, Tees, and Flags and then building into the game.

Maybe I'm missing the point, but using CF to build anything

but a golf course escapes me.

The short answer is 'yes' The EULA states that CourseForge is for PerfectGolf content creation and for non commercial use only.

Hi Mike.

Thanks for promptly reply.

Let's talk about the long answer. Is there any CF solution/licensing for indie studios (I mean: really indie) to edit golf courses in Unity with commercial purpose?

btw.

There are some messages in Unity console just after importing "CFtutorial.unitypackage":

"Some scripts have compilation errors which may prevent obsolete API usages to get updated. Obsolete API updating will continue automatically after these errors get fixed."

"Assets/Perfect Parallel/Course Forge/Scripts/Engine/CourseBase.Plant.cs(19,138) (42,117) (66,109) (86,146) (107,142): error CS0619: `UnityEngine.Types.GetType(string, string)' is obsolete: `This was an internal method which is no longer used'"

"Assets/Perfect Parallel/Course Forge/Scripts/Engine/CourseBase.Spline.cs(119,75) (191,75): error CS0619: `UnityEngine.Types.GetType(string, string)' is obsolete: `This was an internal method which is no longer used'"

"Assets/Perfect Parallel/Course Forge/Scripts/Engine/CourseBase.cs(204,68) (205,67) (210,73) (234,98) (235,37): error CS0619: `UnityEngine.Types.GetType(string, string)' is obsolete: `This was an internal method which is no longer used'"

Neither does appear the "perfect Parallel" menu.

Unity Version: 5.6.3p2 personal 64bit

I saw this:

pd.

Mike Is it possible that we would have met at the Madrid Golf Show in 2010?

Regards,

Joan

Hi Mike.

I have been trying this:

"System.Reflection.Assembly.Load("Assembly-CSharp").GetType("PerfectParallel.CourseForge.Spline")"

It seems to work perfectly in Unity 5.62. Running right now with no console warnings.

I can send the modified files if you want. Let me know.

Please remember to check if is there any possibility to get a personal o commercial copy of CF.

Thanks,

Hi Justin. Thanks for the clue.
