first go around quickly ,very nice for your first course. Frames looked good. Will get into it more thoroughly in the next few days but the greens and pins look good. Thanks for your time and effort .... this should be a good 1 for the sim guys

I'll definitely be playing this course today... I live in Rock Hill, SC, and it's the first time I've seen any of the courses in my county, let alone my city have any or their courses featured in ANY golf game.  Ironically, Waterford is one of the two courses in within 15 miles of me that I haven't played.  Your screen shots looked really nice!

You've never played Waterford?  Figured you'd be all over that one.  It's a decent track.  I haven't been out there in several years.

Would love to see someone do Fort Mill Golf Club.  I grew up playing that course and know it like the back of my hand.

Tega Cay is next, but maybe Fort Mill and Chester after that one.  I can't do Rock Hill CC because the Lidar data doesn't show their remake a couple years ago.  Thanks for the positive comments.  Good to see there are some other online guys in the area.

Have fixed some issues brought up by OGT Testers and replaced the file.  I did not change version, so check that.

Awesome!  Glad to see some local courses getting some love!

If you're going to do Chester and Fort Mill you might as well complete the Leroy Springs suite and do Lancaster as well!  Chester is the easiest of the bunch and I think Fort Mill is the toughest.

Tega Cay is a decent track - very hilly.

Can't wait to see your other courses!  Thanks so much for doing these!

Thanks for the lin to the updated course... I played it this afternoon and was very intrigued by the course.  I was impressed enough by it to make it a point to play the real course sometime this coming week while I'm off.  I could see the Piedmont signature in the topography, trees and bushes, but there's something very distinctive and appealing about the course layout.  I'm impressed that it can play as long as it does and when I play it, I'm going to try to shame my regular playing companions to go Tournament tees!  :)

Since I've never played the course, nor even ridden by it (shame on me, I know), I can't comment on how faithful it is to the original.  I haven't played JNPG but twice since the update that took away the closer FOV, and I was a bit rusty.  I had the greens set to normal, 10, and realistic, and even at that, I was having a problem with putts getting away from me.  There are also some doglegs that sneak up on you pretty quick on this course.  I hit through the dogleg three times in this round, but it was my own fault for not scouting the hole out before launching it.

Thanks for recreating this course... I'm fascinated to think I've got a golf course with that sort of mystique so close to me.  I don't know why, but me and my pool of golfers I play with have ever seriously considered playing it :o   I think we're going to be kicking ourselves once we do!

Hey Wayne, Nice Job buddy. Plays very solidly.

I found a few items that need attention and made a couple of suggestions per the 2dplanting and planting around the outer perimeter. These are only suggestions and as always, it's up to you if you use them.

Thanks for your hard work on this one and good luck.

Larry

Here are the pics.Let me know if I can be of anymore help.

NOTE: Don't pay attention to my low fps's, I'm on a back up computer but I feel you can raise them if you lose a bunch of outer 2dtrees.

axe, fixed those items, thanks.  I am really struggling with what to do around the course.  I don't like the 2P trees, but it is what is is.  I noticed playing Tobacco Rd, there were no trees outside of the course.  Wonder what the general consensus is?  Might start a thread asking that question.

Hopefully, this won't be an issue in PG 2!

Getting late here but had a quick look and must say that you did a great job.  It is the tightest course that I have seen in JNPG and I can see that if your accuracy is a little off you are going to have a lot of tree issues.

FPS with dynamic sky on was good on all holes.

On the championship tee box of hole 6 just to the left and a few yards forward there are a some trees that have a blue outline.

The tee box on hole 15 with dynamic sky on has light patches but they do not appear with dynamic sky off.

I think that the sides of the fairways need to be straightened out as they are "wiggly" if I can use that description.  It would look more realistic.

I am going to play a practice round tomorrow.  Thanks for rendering this course.

You're welcome Wayne. Just do that, look around at other courses to get some ideas. Remember, if you can't see it during ball flight, then you probably don't need the 2dtrees in those areas. Then it would free up the use of more speed trees where critical. I find you can plant a lot of speed trees before it starts effecting frame rates.

You can always Save a version, then start thinning it out and see how it looks. If you don't like it, just go back to the saved version. Up to you though.

We all get ideas from other courses. So far, you're doing a very fine job. Keep it up.

It's good to take in suggestions from all who give them, then see which ones work best for you. No one will be offended if you don't take their suggestions and use them. I know I won't be. We all try to work together, so we can bring the community good solid courses.
