I posted this over at OGT a little earlier.  Might as well make this a public beta*

*Project crashed...

A bit of a tragic tale here I'm afraid.

I reopened the project an hour ago and my Layers Library is totally gone... ouch. A huge setback.

Here is the most recent build I had from this morning before the crash. There is a lot of work left to do but this course is very playable with all real life tees added and 6 pins on each green. I was still experimenting with temporary structures (I know some are uneven!), local sounds, distant terrain, and countless other things...

I may abandon this project for a while as I enroll in grief/rage counseling...

No need to do any vigilant testing... I know there's a lot of stuff wrong here. Just have a go at the course if you like.

https://www.dropbox....nchlick.7z?dl=0

A quick note: The championship tees are a whopping 8,000+ yards! The tournament tees are more humane at 7,200 ish

God that sucks.  This was shaping up nicely.  No chance a CF wizard around here can bring it back?

Speaking of the LL, every time I re-open a current project, I have to reload the textures into the cloned layers...

It's so weird.   The textures and layers are GONE.  Everything from the custom library has vanished from the project completely.

Never had that happen before.

lot of courses out there with a lot more problems then this one

i thought the colors where just great seems to play good worst thing i can say about it is

looks like the sand got missed in a lot of bunkers, other then that i enjoyed the round and did play it in MP so that did work ok.

both of us got hung at the end , but i believe that to be a game or steam issue

thanks for the time and to me it is worth keeping till another version comes out compleated.

Thanks Dave.
When you say "looks like the sand got missed in a lot of bunkers" are you referring to the different color of some of the bunkers?
The real course has some long flat waste bunkers that have yellow/brown colored sand, while the majority of the bunkers have white sand. They should look different on the course. Just FYI

Any chance you've got Windows 10 with File History enabled? I think mine saves once a day. Can go back to a known good day and copy the layers library folder from the project and paste into your current or copy the entire project folder. Can't promise that'll work flawlessly but I've done that before with success.

Just checked and it's not enabled.  Thanks for the idea though.  I'll know to use it from now on.

Lesson learned.  I'll redo the Layers.

If you're using Windows 10. Just right-click on the course folder, Send to, compressed zip folder. Then it will zip it up. I'm not sure if this will work on Windows. 7

It is already at OGT.

I will add it to PGLS.

Edit: Or admins from PGLS and other course sites can post links to the course. That's fine with me
