You can play around with the width value of some of the settings in the layer library. Be careful though - change things one by one and make a note of the values so you can change back if needed.

This allows you to watch the mesh change if you recalculate the spline after each value change. If you start by changing one value at a time, it will be easier to watch what happens. In general working from the top down in the layers library, you will see changes from the outside of the mesh to inward.
It also helps to hide the terrain while doing this. The terrain can be hidden by clicking on the word Terrain and going to the inspector and unticking the second checkbox or third?? (this is the terrain mesh render). You can make it reappear by re-checking the box. I have found this to be the most efficient way to monitor potbunker changes versus the "lower terrain button" in the CF menu.
As far as changing values, if you have 0.02 width and a -0.02 depth for a certain section, it basically creates a 45 degree angle. Over 0.02m and down 0.02m. If you increase the width from there, it will just make that slope gentler. The first section in the row labeled "Pot" generally creates the largest part of the vertical pot wall. The top section deals with the lip of the bunker.
Sorry, a lot in that post, but if you try and digest it, it will gradually make sense or just make you want to vomit.

When cf is talking about “dirt lip” is it referring to the whole riveted face of the bunker ie the area between the sand base and the grass top of the bunker?
yes.

You could try gently and gradually smooth the bunkers, this will slowly fill and slightly lift the ground beneath the bunker, which in turn should lessen the depth, but it will only take you so far. Worth a go though.
