If I gave you a way to "plant" the 2018 Open pins for all 4 days from the actual pin sheets, would you consider adding some additional pins?

 

I made a Hole Viewer utility for just this purpose, and I have the pin sheets.  I can give you a power point file with the exact X and Z coordinates for each pin (relative to you course layout).

all greens are set, no changes.

How do you find using 3d grass for long rough vs. the traditional planting method?

Trying to make some decisions on courses I have started.

matt the 3d grass is not a replacement for planting,i would say more of an enhancement.if you only used 3dgrass instaed of planting in the rough ,it would look pretty barren from the air.the 3d grass is only seen for a short distance.i thought i might be able to cut back the planting,but no you really cant.you need to plant as normal and use 3d grass where needed.you will find the limitations pretty quick.the great thing about the shader is it really dosent impact the game if you have a decent video card.

I'm still working on your 2018 Open pin placements, Skunky.  Some of the greens at Carnoustie are 56 yards deep; my green plots are only 40 x 40yds.  I'll program in a magnifier, then finish scanning your set of greens.

 

Green plots of 60 x 60 are now usable.  I've finished scanning holes 1-11 so far, so a few more days.

Then on to finish the 2019 PGA Championship pins at Bethpage Black.

Skunky - below is the link to a power point with pin sheets for all four days of the 2018 Open at Carnoustie.  I've scanned in your Carnoustie greens into my Hole_Viewer_2 Utility and given you a list of global X and Z coordinates for each pin, using your course's layout.  Some pins (red) are already "spot-on", some are within 10 yds, and more often than not there isn't a pin nearby.

After Bethpage I'll do the same pin layouts for the 2018 and 2019 Masters using your latest Augusta versions.
