The Hole Viewer 2 Spreadsheet Utility is available for download, here.

https://mega.nz/#!r0...yfI8BXad-xY12iM

The Utility reads any course description file, parses the data within, and provides a graphical representation of the Pin locations on a green, yardage combinations for Pins and Tees, and a way to create a Scorecard jpg image.  This utility does not work with online spreadsheets (no VBA language).  Two new features were added for this version:

1) A full course routing map, with a wind direction slider, as below.

[attachment=1512:HoleViewer2b.JPG]

2) A pin location tool to better use pin sheet diagrams to precisely locate hole location, including the global coordinates.

[attachment=1513:HoleViewer2a.JPG]

Attached is a power point file that has pin sheets for all four days of the US Open.  I've used the tool to match pin sheet locations to Matt's Pebble Beach 2019 Open Edition current pins.  Where no pin is close, I've left it blank.  In all cases, I've recorded the Global X and Z coordinates of what the pin sheet says should be the hole location.  I hope this will speed up Matt's pin planting process.

I've started to compile the same info for the 2019 PGA Champ. at Bethpage (for Justine), and for the 2019 Masters (for Skunky).

Enjoy!

Will have a proper look later, but I like what I've seen so far. The map is kinda handy.

Looks great! Guess it could be used as a "hole notes" to use during play (something I and others have suggested the need for). Now if you could get it to display the general slopes on the green it would be perfect! I know we always want more. ;)And yes, I am aware of the rather laborious methods currently available to  see the slopes on  a green.

Well done though!

When I click the button "Import Course File Course Description" I get a run time error "1004".

What version of EXCEL are you using.

On the "Instructions" tab, did you push the button to navigate to your Perfect Golf.exe file?

The description file only has elevation info for the planted pins.  Linking these together in a crude mesh would give a lot of false slope info. (I had the same thought, though).

I use Excel 2010. I pushed the button to navigate to my Perfect Golf.exe file. And now I get a run time error "13".

Do you get the message button to "enable content" just under the top ribbon?  You may need to go into EXCEL's options (very top left button) to enable all macros.  Give these two a try.

I just uploaded a new file, and changed the link in the original post.  EXCEL 2016 sometimes wants the Macros to be digitally signed before they can be enabled.  I signed the Macros in the new file.  Try this as a third option.

Thank you for your help, but all options don't work for me. With the new version Excel hangs up when I click the enable button. Has anybody got it to work with Excel 2010?

What is the path to your Perfect Golf.exe file?

Mine is "D:\Perfect Golf\steamapps\common\Perfect Golf\Perfect Golf.exe"

Are your courses saved in a folder called "courses" off this path?

Open up the Viewer.  Before you try to bring in a course file go to the Hole_X tab and push the blue "Auto Center All" button on the right.  If that give you an error, then I know none of the Macros are working ( as opposed to just the Import button).
