LACC the site of 2017 Walker Cup and the 2023 US Open.

Here is an interesting video I just found talking a little about it:

This is likely the final beta (release candidate?  but I always seem to miss something).  This is my entry in the contest.

https://drive.google...IvJtd5qTwZmoV9O

This does use the overlay method but took some experimenting/photoshoppping to get the colors right.  Thanks to those testing the course for helping with it.  In particular, JT83, who motivated me to take a few more cracks at it.

Let me know if you guys find anything and what you think.  The club house is a hack job.  I am going to attempt the house builder soon and may come back and attempt to do the clubhouse justice.

One thing to note:

Hole 2, has two separate greens.  3 of the pins are on one of them, and 3 are on the other.  One of the greens the members play as a par 5 but will likely be a par 4 even if they use that green for the US Open.

I placed both easy pins are the shorts more straight away green, and I placed both difficult pins on the longer tucked uphill green.  Medium pins have one of each on each green.

I'm a sucker for double greens, I love them!

Uh oh! Added cart paths in the most recent version. Looks like I raised them a little too much! I will fix that for final.

Just played 18 - didn't find anything odd, but didn't go off-course much.

I really like the color palette and use of scrub pines and palms - looks like a water deprived city course on the west coast.  I wish I had played the fairways on hard.  One of my new favorites.

Also...the clubhouse looks like it needs some black outlines around the windows to make it stand out like the rest of the houses along the fairways.

As I said on OGT I think you've hit the sweet spot with the colors, and the layout is just fun.  Well done.

Need a member to sneak me in and I would build it in a heartbeat! I got lucky and bid with three other guys at a charity fundraiser to play LACC and got to play it.

The next course I would want to build if there was Lidar is Oak Quarry, it’s nothing famous but I think it would be a cool course in pg.

Guessing some dynamite was needed for that layout  :D

Bel Air, San Francisco and Olympic would be nice to see one day but if no other California courses get made the PG community is lucky to have what we've got.

Great looking course. Played quick 18 holes and found no issue on the first look.

OK here is what I think is final:

1) Cart paths completely redone, shout out to DPRoberts for helping me when I got completely lost.
2) Fixed 17th shot point
3) Cleared the brush behind tee 7
4) Fixed pars wrong on some holes/tees

I think its good to go now.

But we know a member there :) Get him on the phone!

No don't - I'd be tempted to fly over.

Just played the last 3DG version and i must say: very impressive. Great colors, great textures, beautifull shading, a very good track with some extremely well designed holes. Have had no issues in playing. A very nice, solid design, with a lot of nice real estate along the way (flying around with the F5 will reveal more ^_^ and even the top view map shows much detail). Just an allround good and enjoyable course. Well done!
