Understand exactly what you are saying.  Not questioning the current game but it was not all of us that communicated a PG2 game was in the works.  Do you think maybe some of us are concerned, since with no communication, maybe PG1 is up in  the air on continuing?

wasn't directed at you it was directed at some of the other ungrateful trolls that feel like consistent bashing will get them heard... talk about a dead horse....

If we did not care you think we would keep the servers running. We did make some changes and I think the servers have been very reliable the last few months.

You probably care about keeping the servers running because some people are still buying.

You probably care about keeping the servers running because some people are still buying. People who design a game just do not suddenly never talk to their user base who got them to where they are now. The way I see it Andrew you and Mike got paid handsomely and still do by trackman so you only care about them and not us anymore. You have one of the greatest games I THINK that could still go farther if you updated it or fixed it. Trackman don't give a crap about us and that is the kicker, they and you guys get so much money from the PGA Tour players and clubs that we will never see another version because with all the money Trackman has we would have a better version out already because they can hire many people to finish the game.

I believed in you guys, you seemed to do so much for the links community but when you build your own game you get paid like you wanted and abandon the people who got you where you are.

Hmmmm....And people wonder why Andrew or Mike don't post here anymore

Oh come on Rob. You don’t really believe that do you?
Mike and Andrew haven’t posted anything on their own forum in months, it’s certainly not the fault of the die-hards who remain on the forum.

I am going to stand by my belief that if they could comment they would comment on the future of JNPG.  Andrew commenting does mean he still reads this forum.  I take that as a positive that he will keep JNPG going as long as he can.

When they start caring more and showing up then I will listen, I mean they cannot even give an explanation of there absence and why they think it would be acceptable to do so with their user base.

here's a suggestion Andrew. shut the servers down and leave this forum going. It seems some people like to bitch and whine more than they actually play this game anyway.  now go and make me a prophet!  blah.. blah.. blah.

I gather you’re entirely happy with in having no communication or input from the devs on THEIR forum?
If you are then fine but I would imagine you’re in the minority, as I’m assuming that many people have left the forum or post infrequently just to vent their frustration! I think the opposite of you. Keep the servers and close the forum. I’m sure that the designers and users would find another and possibly better way to keep in touch.

Is there any chance we can get an update on PG2 ?

I hope this means “Tamuchan” might pop by again soon with some new reflective water.

I just hit the ball as it lies and play the game and what happens will happen. Being an ex corporate type I understand where the devs are and having your hands tied sucks but it's real life. Just remember these guys have been at the video golf gaming forefront since Links 386 and if they didn't care they wouldn't have wasted twenty plus years in this game. You got two options play PG1 or TGC 2019 or don't play at all and I choose to play both. Besides it's not like any other Developer is beating the door down to develop a golf game for less than 100 PC golfers. Just my 2 cents.

Andrew did at least answer the OP question about an update on the servers.
Sounds like it's fixed for now, so that's good at least.

Would be nice. And for upcoming courses in the works we can still use the reflective water prefabs from the standard assets.

True. I always just got the sense that the patch was a better way to go so that people could adjust the reflective water on the fly to suit a particular course performance demands and their hardware capabilities

I know I was in the habit of sometimes turning it off “per hole” on some courses using a mapped controller button.
