Shouldn't be a tough task they did it for years in TW08... (oops there I go again)...

Gotcha....didn't play any TW games.

I always played 3 click, but with age and eye sight not what it used to be I changed to Trueswing in Tw08, I know have the consistancy I always craved for, plus I feel my swing is far more natural the way the real pro's swing.

I think in time motion swing will be favoured by the top players, having said that I know a lot of 3 clickers, that are at the top of their game with that particular swing and certainly have always played better than myself at 3 click.

TS or MS is a devil to learn to putt well, and like the real thing on tour is all about touch.

From my own experience I'd have to say that the motion swing is the more difficult swing type when used with no aids.  I've played mouse swings for over 15 years.  Using my no aids motion swing player I usually shoot in the 90's from the tips in PG.  Yesterday I had a friend over, who had never played a golf game, and we fired up PG.  I set the game to click knowing that it would be easier for him to grasp the swing mechanics.  When we reached the 1st tee I realized that my golfer was now set to no aids 3-click.  Expecting a disastrous round I was surprised that after 18 holes at Crystal Pines I had shot an 84.  If I, as a 3-click duffer, can shoot a score like that the first time out then the top 3-clickers will soon be playing to par or better.  I think it will take a lot more time and practice before we see motion swing players reaching that goal.

Well for myself I find Motion Swing much easier to drive with and putt, actually hitting the ball seems better all around.

The tricky part is getting the ball speed / pace matched for distance. Not too bad if you leave it alone and shoot, but if you shape the ball at all, especially loft, gets hard to get it right. In saying that, I won't be going back to 3 Click.....Not in anything other than specific events put on by someone or CC event maybe.

I will also like when you can create games, matches only for MS or 3C players, so you don't have to kick players or ask ahead of time.

My only fear is that because this is essentially 'beta' that they'll radically tweak MS or something within the 'shot' environment so that upon Retail Release there's a whole new learning curve happening. That would suck I think.

I played the last 10 years the Links03 RTS swing, the first two on Pro and Champ level and the remaining on Elite. Played every week at least a round. All in all played between level and 5 under, with some rounds going real low, hitting 60 only 3 times (I remember!) but also managing high in de seventies and sometimes even worse. Restarting a round was never an option (and can be double checked in Links) when things were not going as it was hoped. The great Augusta Masters course in Links is a beast when played in championship conditions and Par is a pretty good score over there on the higher level. Anyway, scores under 60 are a bit silly really, and I see these regularly in Links competition, but rarely by RTS players, almost always Click. That should be self explanatory.

Mouse swing has always seemed to me the most natural. The click swing is less natural but can be just as challenging. That I have not won a (offline) tournament yet doesn't bother me one bit. Lots of top 10's. I enjoy the challenge against the course. Period. Also, playing many years offline against other RTS rounds in one-on-one matches but also three- and foursomes, has given me tons of pleasure. For me, the RTS was the best thing out there, but now with the MS, I have to re-evaluate. MS already outshines it. I'm finding that I now can almost play technically the same way as in real life (save the scores of course :) ... AND... the odd duffs or topped balls  )! More things can go wrong with MS, but for me, that is what it's all about.

I agree with Axe 360 on this: separate competitions is the answer. There will always be cheaters. Even in the real game.. :(

I'm playing 3 click no aids and coming from Links Elite Click I am finding that snap mark extremely difficult to hit. I am holding off really trying MS until it is tied to the ani.

Yes but I like mixed to because as I said, I have friends who play 3 click and I like to be able to play mixed but still have separate competitions too..

In the end if you're good you're good. At the moment I'm limiting myself if I can to MS players, simply because you get into a bad grove and you can end up making the other player wait, if they're a 3C player wait a long time, that's kinda of annoying. It's not about them having it easier, like I said in some ways I find MS easier. Certainly much easier to fade or draw the ball.

With each day, pitching and working the green area becomes a bit better, I can totally see where MS has an advantage with some funky shots. A FP flop is really hard from 29ft away off green with 3C i find, you can't click fast enough properly. With MS, just get the ball speed right, nice stroke and the ball lands dead more or less.

I'm not really worried about what they'll do here, I think the have a good grasp of what they want the game to be.

As far as cheating goes, just have to wait and see... With so many variables at play with your shot, I'm not sure how that'd work out. 3C for sure, someone is gonna do something dumb, they always do, and honestly they'll be easy enough to spot, they always are.  The one nice thing with this game being built as it is, there are tools to counter that stuff, and if there isn't you can make them. Unlike Flash games where they're utterly impossible to lock down. I'm not worried about people running macro's either, good luck with that.
