Hi fellas. I used to play 3C TP but changed to MS horizontal about 2 years ago. I play Pro but would like to play TP but I have a real problem with putting. When I was 3C, missing the 6 by a little either way didn't noticeably effect the putting distance but on long putts MS it's so bad as to make it unplayable for me. As an example, a putt I'm hitting at say 4 dots on 14, dead flat green, will go 64 feet with 3C or MS but on MS TP, it can come up 15ft short or go 15ft long. At .25 it's good, but at .24 or .26 it's miles away. Is this what everyone else finds or is my game corrupted in some way? And before anyone says it can't be different to everyone else's game, I have a friend who whenever hes goes into water he has no post shot screen, ever, on any course and he has to quit and resume, and yes, he's verified game files on numerous occasions and deleted/reinstalled  but the glitch persists, Also of course, we have the guys with super, top end PC's who have meter stutter when 3C but others with low end ish that don't get it at all. And the 3C players who when hitting, suddenly turn 90 degrees right. (I've never had it happen but have seen it often) I digress, back to the question, is MS TP just that sensitive or do I have a glitch? I should add, I am a very good putter at every level either 3C or MS except MS TP. Any advice will be gratefully received.

This happens to me quite often ... very frustrating.

I play 3C / pro and missing the putt by a hair causes terrible putt misses for me. Even on drives my average is about 25% Fairway hits. My friends keep telling me that they don't have such an effect but for me this game is almost unplayable with 3C. Not sure if I changed any setting that causes that but I really loose fun playing this game. I do have real snap misses and I know I have them sometimes but if you can't really see a miss on the meter it is really frustating.

Who cares...

The following was one of the first posts I read.I really wanted to use a mouse swing but it just seemed overly complicated by all the different computer settings that could affect the final result. That's before all the variables the game itself throws at you!
In retrospect perhaps if I had put the same amount of hours into the mouse swing as I did 3 click(didn't play much links) I might have finally enjoyed it.Doubtful seeing as few others have mastered it.

I play MS horizontal pro and do not have this problem. Have not tried putting at TP level. I find that the speed I move the mouse or any hesitation affects the distance the most.

At RTSM tour pro one's swing tempo does affect the putt which it doesn't at pro level and below.  I think you'll find that much like sand and flop shots if the tempo is too fast you lose distance and pull the putt and if the tempo is too slow you gain distance and push the putt.

What Joe said is correct the tempo will effect putt distance.

I thought that was the case but it's good to hear from others. Oh well, I'll stick to Pro then.  :D
