For any of you who are not familiar with Mike Jones's web site, google mikejonesgoldesign.com and check out the gallery screenshots of some of his creations. I am hoping that Unity & CF can come close to duplicating this kind of texture artistry. How about it Mike, do you think this is doable?

My question wouldn't be are they doable but are they PLAYABLE in PG without having to drop down the settings to get good framerate.

Well we've already got Crystal Pines and Shadowlands in Perfect Golf, which are MJ's designs.

 

Not sure how hi-res the textures are that he is using, but they look OK.

 

I guess no reason we can't see Royal Kenya, Pilgrim Trails and maybe some of his other classic P2P layouts from Links like Las Joyas, Rugged Dune, Cara Brae, Burns Old Links to name but 4.

 

Would love to see Northern Dunes re worked in CF, but I guess the pot bunkers (hello K11) are the stumbling block for that.

Some of his artwork on his site is using soooo many 3D objects that's it's hard to fathom being able to replicate that within the game, but only one person knows for sure.

Sorry for the error. It is mikejgolfdesign.com I would not have associated either Shadowlands or Crystal Pines as they appear in Perfect Golf with Mike's original creations of these two courses using the APCD  for Links 2K3. They look so totally different.

We can always respond by saving up for a Xeon 12 core processor and GTX980 graphics
