Hi, I have a question.

When you are contouring the terrain on a fresh terrain does it make any difference if I go up or down. I just realized that is a meaningless sentence. LOL. Ok what I mean is you start with everything flat and I would assume that is zero elevation. So lets say I want the first hole to go down in elevation from zero to say a -20 feet going from the tee down to the green.

Do I raise the tee higher or do I lower the green in respect to the tee?

Thank you.

p.s. I am trying my hand at creating something new. I am not using elevation maps.

You can't go less than zero so you have to set your entire heightmap above zero as a starting point - I would suggest 50m unless you're planning on a mountain type course. After that when you're sculpting it doesn't matter if you raise or lower the terrain.

Thank you. Just what I needed. Oh and thanks Mike for all the wonderful tutorials. So explicit. I don't think you missed anything.

Never mind I found out how to change the width and heights of the terrain.
