I still have another laptop with Links loaded and a million courses on it. A few months back I played a round at Tall Pines and Los Joyas and really loved how the game still played and how good those courses still looked.

I wish all the Mike Jones courses from Links as well as some of the other great courses could be converted to play in PG.

I don't know if the Terrain Forge is still available or working, but it lets you convert them if you have unlocked files.

I'm not that familiar with all the features of PG. Was Terrain Forge and add on to PG or was it included in the game when it came out?

Is the converting process complicated?

Thank you for any information.

It wasn't ever publicly available but you could download it here.

I had it but don't anymore.

I am glad Lee, that you are featuring some of the great old Links courses in your videos. They to this very day are still visually quite amazing. One of my favourites not featured in this forum is Llyn Pythmebyon. This is a really great render. One other point is this. If you do not apply Antialiasing into these Links courses you will notice jagged edges around bunkers, cart paths and various other course objects. With Nvidia graphic cards AA has always been able to be applied to the Links courses. Other cards in most instances do not allow you to apply AA to the Links courses. I would not be still playing these courses in Links if I was not able to introduce AA into theses courses. These jaggies are really unsightly, not to mention visually messing up the overall appearnce of these designs. So if you are using an Nvidia card, go into the 3D application in the Nvidia Software . Locate the course in the Nvidia app, and under the graphic settings for Links 2003, set the Antialiasing Mode to "Enhance the Application Setting. Directly underneath that option, set the AA value to 8x. Also insure that the Anisotropic Filtering is set to 16x. Lee, I do not know if you are applying any AA to the Links courses in your videos. I thought I saw some tell tale signs of no AA in some of the videos. I hate those jaggies.

About a year and a half ago I was still playing Links and had not played PG. I was sad at that time that not many new Links courses were being released and it seemed that all the new courses were for PG. I finally bought a new PC capable of running PG and haven't played Links since. PG was so superior and all the new courses were exciting. Now it seems that all the new courses are being released for Links and very few for PG. It's dismaying to see what potential has been left unfulfilled for PG; but no matter I still enjoy it and play everyday. From what I've read I don't think I'll be giving up playing PG for TGC2K21.
