Well to make a short story long...installed the game & didn't read the instructions on setting up a player...definitely should know by now ya gotta read them dam instructions...I was able to put a name on the player.  But the handicap or the handedness choices would not appear.  I therefore went to the settings menu and was able to choose clubs & swing settings, I thought.  Then went to the practice mode & it said I did not have a player set up?  what gives will I need to reinstall? and heaven forbid read the instructions.  My system specs fall in between min & recommended.

I have windows 7 with athlon II 435 2.9ghz 7770 msi amd gpu & 8 gb of ram.

Thanks again.

Did you set your player as default player?

Who cares...

Just create a new player and set it as default, you'll be good to go. Handicap and handedness has been removed at the moment as handicaps are not yet implemented nor are lefties.

When you create a new player - that other player may get in the way at times so you can delete it too.

Little known fact when King Arthur was trying to make a golf course and he ran into some conflict. King Arthur: There's a peace only to be found on the other side of war. If that war should come I will fight it!    Other important fact. Read the Book of John in the Holy Bible.

Thanks everyone.  Was able to go to the practice range & hit a bucket of balls, then played 9 at Southampton Links (everyother hole at member tees).  Hit the first shot into the waste area, then from 68yds out (i believe) hit to a little over 5' from the pin & 3 putted for a bogey.  I wasn't hitting hard enough ha.

Is there a practice place for putting like the driving range?  Will adjust the settings in the future. Are the updates d/l & installed automatically or do we have to initiate them?

Thanks again.

Gil

Yes we will be adding more range features as we go. If you have your steam settings to update games automatically they will do just that and you won't have to worry about it as you will get the updates as they are released.
