Well, looks like the game doesn't show who's in the lobby any longer... been like this for over a week. I personally never used had any interaction with folks in the lobby, but I know PGLS uses it to some capacity. Could this be the beginning stages of the end for PG? It has been hanging on to a thread.. I'm just wondering when it will be dead for good.. I hope not as its still my favorite golf game even if it is xx number of years old

Yeah I would hope Andrew or Mike would come here and make an announcement before the plug is pulled. Might be too much to ask. It's my favorite golf game as well..by far.

Someone on Steam was asking about shop items. I haven't used the shop in ages so I'm not sure when items disappeared but it might be a sign too. It reminded me I'd bought the different ball, so I changed back to the old one and realised I was losing 10m on full shots
At some point we'll have to see if the devs really made PG playable offline. Until then I plan to annoy them with a continued online presence.

In my opinion, still the best all round PC golf game. I would love to see it go the way of Links where a 3rd party takes over. That way a couple of additions to the game such as the ability to create your own avatar and being able to save more than one round at a time would make the game even better.
I suspect that the sales for PG are insignificant so I too am surprised that it is still on Steam.
I don't think either of the Mikes have any say over the future of PG because it is owned by Trackman and they work for TM. The dream scenario would be TM green lighting further development of PG for the PC and consoles. Although it doesn't make sense to me they must think that having a computer golf game under the Trackman name would take away sales of their launch monitor and simulator. However, to me they are separate markets.
Judging by the lack of success of EA Sports Golf which hasn't had an update in over a year, maybe PC/console golf games do not have a big enough market to justify further development of exiting games or new ones.

We're biased, but I still think that's true.
