I just don't understand the comments here. I play golf games to play good myself, I don't look for others stats and I am not interested in looking for any Leaderboards on courses etc. If anyone wants to cheat, he/she will find a way to do so. I played those with the low scores on TWO sometimes and can't remember that I lost a single game. These guys play the low scores when they play local games, almost never when they are in a multiplayer round. So if you see those guys online, invite them to a MP game and laugh when they don't hit a single shot. Thats what I do formyself and it feels just great. Leaderboards are not really needed except for tournaments and I hope we will have no course specific leaderboards here.

The funny thing is, that this discussion started long before this game was released. Cheating is one of the first topics once you open a forum for a game...

All I`am saying is, if I play 3 click then I expect my opponents to play 3 click or True swing, that's a game leveller, the Modified xbox controllers well , if they use them so be it, but the option on Host a game - set up should be there to look at what swing type they are using, in TW 2008 this option is there and I can assure you some players do get booted out.

In the original TW 2008 EASO Lobby the option was there to set 3 click & True swing only.

If it's only the swing type I agree, if it should include the aids, there are maybe too many options you have to take care of. I don't mind playing some1 with max aids, but I know there are alot of ppl. which wouldn't play some1 using higher aids than themselves ;)

Well I'll just come right out and say it.

For the most part a great number of players coming from WGT are coming from a game that is openly cheated upon.  There are a number of way to cheat in their game and the fact that they really don't do anything to discourage it is one of the main reasons PG once it's in Full Release and has all it's features will experience a fairly huge influx of players making the switch. It's one of the main reasons I don't play there anymore and I know there are players here now who are because of it as well. It's a very touchy topic over there and as players come here they want to be assured as best they can I guess that they're going to have as level a playing field as possible. Or at least one where the players are using their own skills to play and compete.

I do think that there should be a separate thread for it so that maybe it can be contained to a specific area in the forum and not having posts popup everywhere about it.

it's a *ahem* gentleman's game only so long as there's no money involved - so please be aware of that if there is ever an intention for some kind of gambling platform in the future....

as for controllers - i will be using my USB game pad for sure because I play it on my i7 which is upstairs in the bedroom and I have no room for setting up a table so that moving a mouse in a controlled manner is possible - I even play 3 click holding the mouse on a table-tennis bat!! - so the controller will allow me to have access to all the benefits of analogue 'feel' in a close space environment.

there are a myriad of reasons why 1 person would want to choose one type of control over another - why i even suggested in some other game to have things like swing, distance, spin, slice e.t.c. as available in the form of numerical inputs!!! like inputting figures in boxes - totally technical players would absolutely love it and I don't think this type of control has ever been implemented in a golf game since the 80's - no doubt for you lot that's a huge sigh of relief, but you know it is possible in principle, call me boring......
