Hello AJ.  Any chance you guys could reduce the width of the pages to 1152  pixels? (give or take a few)

Folks with "not so good eyesight".

5:4 ratio LCD/s at 1024 x 768.  approx
16:9 ratio Wide Screens 1280 x 800  approx

Good point. I have a 7" tablet and ervery time I call up a new page I have to zoom down or scroll left and right to read the full message.

Understood. I am talking about reducing the width by 100 to 200 pixels so people with bad eyesight do not have to use scrollbars
on the bottom of the each page or increase their screen's resolution. Just an experiment....

Members Note:  As Juergen mentioned the work around is zooming out or in. With Wndows, that's holding down the Control Button
Keyboard and rolling your mouse-wheel forward or backward.

I believe it's the default size for most IPB sites. Perfect for most monitor sizes. If you have to increase resolution for your eyesight and that causes troubles, then that's a problem on your end. It's the perfect size for me, and I would really prefer it not to be changed. Also, 100-200 px is an enormous reduction.

It will be interesting to see other opinions as well.  Nice that it's good for you but you are probably using a large wide-screen at native resolution. There are many different size monitors and if someone is using a 17" wide-screen or a 4:3 ratio LCD 17" monitor then it's way to small to read the text if their screens are set to native resolution. Times have changed but the good old LCD/s at 17 to 19 inches at 4:3 aspect ratio can be set to 1280 x 1024 or higher, but that may not be comfortable for viewing.

Many LCD owners use their monitors set at 1024 x 768 and I have a feeling that more than 75% of the golfers coming here from TW08 or Links are going to have LCD monitors and a few will still have CRT. It will be interesting to see who mentions what they use.  I use dual 4:3 LCD 19" Flatron 1280 x 1024 monitors.

You have a wide-screen at 16:9 ratio.  People who paid $200.00 for 4:3 ratio LCD screens 7 years ago are not going to easily give them up.

To be  honest, I tried wide-screen 3 times, just don't like them.  To me it's like watching a tennis match and turning your had left to right/right to left over and over . LOL

BUT! I love my HDTV in the living room.  That's a whole different ball game then sitting 18" to 20" from a computer monitor. I think in general, for most PC users that's there viewing distance as well.

I am playing TW08 on the other monitor and just got an Ace on hole 17 at TPC Sawgrass!  Woohoo!  :)

Yeah, I understand what you're saying. I just don't see the need for a change when the high majority are going to be problem-free. Maybe in a few months' time they will upload some new skins that will better suit your needs.

Hey Leeray, when I had a twin monitor set up I had to to change it back to a single monitor whenever I played TW08!

There was an app that allowed you to play TW08 in Window Mode.  It had glitches but worked okay for when I was
working on a computer on one screen and killing time between long downloads on the other screen with TW08.

I can't remember what that app was but it's not worth installing.  I don't have to switch to a single monitor to play TW08
these days but to access the second monitor I do have to Alt Tab.  That makes me think of a very important question
or new topic I should create in the General Forum.  (Window Mode)
