Best: Oakmont CC, site of many USGA championships
Favorite: Lawsonia Links, Green Lake, Wisconsin - a classic 1930 design that is simply one of the most fun courses I've have ever played

Mine is The Babe Zaharius Golf Club in Tampa FL. I never played it (am physically not able to actually play IRL golf) but did ride around it in a golf cart one day when I was going to try to create in in the 2001 APCD program (which I never learned how to operate).
That's why I am so anxious to try it in the CF, but from what I have been reading it is tough also.

Ailsa Course @ Turnberry is simply great and so was Kauri Cliffs
However, the best course I have played and I have played around 300 or so, is the simply amazing Royal Dornoch which is just great

TPC Scottsdale, St Andrews and The Twenty Ten at Celtic Manor (where i work - on the Montgomerie) are the most popular courses ive played. TPC was my favourite and St Andrews was special.

Best (by ranking): Whistling Straits (Straits)
Favorite: Pinehurst #8
Other top 100s: Blackwolf Run (both River and Meadow Valleys), Whistling Straits (Irish), Pinehurst #1/#2/#6, The Bull at Pinehurst Farms (not related to THE Pinehurst, but still a great Nicklaus design), Hawktree Golf Club, Bear Trace at Cumberland Mountain.
This year, I would like to get to Erin Hills, home of the 2017 US Open.
Another interesting design I've played pretty frequently near my hometown in Wisconsin is a place called Quit Qui Oc. There's really nothing special about the place and is a mediocre course based on appearances, but it was designed by Tom Bendelow, the original creator of East Lake, AAC, and Medinah.

This year, I would like to get to Erin Hills, home of the 2017 US Open.
I played there in 2006 shortly after it opened - same trip as playing Lawsonia (see above) - and well before many of the changes that followed. Really cool piece of land, some really fun holes, but you just couldn't help feeling that the course was forced in places. The original mantra was that they hardly moved any dirt, but I think they realized that the quality of the course suffered a bit because of it. I haven't been back, but from what I've seen on the internet and TV, it looks like they've made some reasonable adjustments.
