I've noticed there is a "code" button on the toolbar when you are writing a new post. I click it and I'm asked for my coding preference. I choose HTML and paste my code in the box etc. but only the source code shows in the post preview and not the table I'm trying to make. Is there some trick to it?

The code button is purely for making code look pretty when it's pasted in - it won't get executed. HTML is rarely allowed on forums due to security issues.

To have tables in the forum here, PP would either have to install table BBCodes, or you could use an external html-to-image converter and have the image displayed here (could have refresh quirks though).

Yeah gotcha, thanks shimonko. Straight image posts probably simplest.
