The first Championship tournament over four rounds will be at Florida Glades.

It will be an Open Championship played from Championship Tees for all levels of assists.

All settings will be your preferences except for the pin positions over the four days.
(But please turn off Mulligans and set Gimmes to 2 feet)

First Round   -    Easy Pins
Second Round   -    Medium Pins
    Third Round   -    Medium Pins
 Fourth Round   -    Difficult Pins

Unlike the previous tournaments once you submit a score it stands.
Your first submitted score will be your first round and so on.
So only submit a score when you are satisfied with the result.

The Championship will run until Sunday 29th March

OK T_Ball, let me be the first to post my first (and only!) round 1 score

36 / 40 = 76 (+4)

Settings used = 3C, firm 7, stimp 10, grade A, wind calm

Oh, and I used a team 3 blue shirt which according to calculations should provide a slight edge on the competition...

although I suspect my calculations may be off somewhat.

Regards

4 under par 68 grade A. Firmness and stimp default. I have my newly practiced flop shot to thank for that.

I have the same issue with meter stutter on this course, but I am still going to give it a go. I like this format. Question for the Tournament Director...Will there be four trophies, one each for the best scores in all four categories?  ;)

34-30=64 (-8)

Settings used = 3C, firm 7, stimp 10, grade B, wind calm

Dropped a couple of 30+ foot putts for birdie and birdied the last 4 holes of the round.

Left the driver in the bag as much as possible.

You'll make the cut IanD.

TheOtherRick.....there will certainly be four trophies (if you could call them that).

Suggest you add another tag for people using a custom difficulty setting such as off/mod?

Yes Mike, I've considered this. To keep the grades simple (so I don't clutter the board) I graded players by their highest assist level. Now I'm considering not displaying player's levels at all. The level that an individual plays at is somewhat self-regulating anyway. In other words I don't feel all that comfortable insisting on showing one's grade. It's a bit like finger-pointing.

So off come the grades and the trophies will be melted down.

Morning T_Ball

I was just about to suggest the same thing as Mike re: grades to be shown on leaderboard.

I wouldn't see this as an opportunity to finger point, just a chance to see where all the Keyboard Golfers sit in terms of ability.

Makes me try harder... but to no avail!

Cheers

33-37=70. -2 MS, bli, grade A, 7/10 f/s. Calm winds.

Personally, I like to see the grades. Not to finger point but just so I can see where I fall in regards to those who are playing with the same settings. Not to be competitive but just as a guide to see where my game is in the grand scheme of PG. I'm enjoying playing with min/min settings and don't think I'll change anytime soon. I typically hover around par and I'm happy with that.

Hmmm.....Players seem to be happy announcing their assists in their posts. So I think I'll leave it at that - and less work for the poor scoreboard officials.

Anyway, 5 bogies in a round of 70. There are plenty of scoring opportunities out there so 64s don't surprise me at all. Nice shooting guys. Oh, and I couldn't buy a putt. I pray for gimmes.
