Liberty National Par 4 10th

 

Long Par 3 11th

 

Still Have the outer terrain to work on and all the cartpaths to lay down

Still not sure on the hit to framerates for the reflections in the water with all the lakes on this course

Probably wont have any in the end

Rob - Any chance I could get a test copy of your course with reflections on?

 

I'm really dying to see how that goes on my rig and see them in action

Simulator Tour Presidents Cup will be in Mid December, so am very very interested in this one :) Looks awesome so far.

 

I wonder if it could be possible to have the real time reflections be a game settable attribute in the graphics settings. Not sure how that would work, if its a toggle button in unity whether Mike could programme something in? Just a thought

It did but then nothing was moving in Links apart from the avatar and so the reflections did not have to be real time. I agree real time reflections will be nice as an option and it's something we're still researching. When we have a workable solution we will implement it. If a designer wants to make a course with half the triangle count they normally would, reflective water is already an option in Unity/CF.

Rob,

 

I had the pleasure of accompanying a few of the beta testers on the course this morning.

 

Absolutely fabulous rendition of a very challenging and well-planned real course. The attention to detail, both on and around the fairways but also elsewhere on-plot are fantastic (if anyone is in doubt about this, take yourself on a flight over to visit Lady Liberty from the course).

 

Your textures are incredible and if 3-D grasses weren't on the upcoming list of developments should be seen as the gold standard of what can be created with a 2-D texture. In places it even seemed that the grass lay down in directions which reflected the direction of a vert plane. 

 

No issues found by any of us on the round, and the challenge of what Liberty National has to offer with its focus on accuracy and elevation on the greens as you negotiate the bunker complexes will surely mean many more rounds on this, so hopefully any small issues found will be apparent fairly quickly.
