No, you do not need a simulator. This is open to all types of swingers and devices as they become available.

For the Illinois Open, rounds are due in by Monday midnight central. The next tournament will start on Monday.

Hey zmax, can you explain how this works? I was on the site and see that it says the golf club at the bottom of the page. Can I play in PP and if so, do I just enter my score afterwards? How do the assists work?

Hi guys,

 

The site also hosts TGC Sim Tours and Optishot Tours along with the Perfect Golf Tour, which we just started less than 10 days ago.  We will be adding a Perfect Golf logo at the bottom of the site soon.  

 

Perfect Golf Tour is a season long tour and will run similar to the PGA tour's Fedex Cup.  You can compete in weekly tournaments, earning points, wins, and improving your season standing along the way.

 

The Perfect Golf Tour is open to all types of swings( PC 3-click, motion swing), assists. and devices that use the Perfect Golf game.  Devices are simulator hardware such as Trackman, Flightscope, other launch monitors, and  sensor mats.  The beauty of Perfect Golf's online lobby system is that PC's and other devices will all be able to play with each other.  We also have a Teamspeak server for those that wish to play live together and communicate via voice instead of typing.

 

Entering scores is really simple.  Once you join our forum, we will create your account on the main site, which is the site you use to enter scores.  Basically, you login, start the tournament, select which round you're playing, and enter your scores after playing each hole.  Your scores will be updated in real time on the leaderboards for all to see.  As you enter your scores, you also have the option to enter the amount of putts, GIR, etc... if you want.  Once a tournament is completed, stats we be available.

 

But I hope that entering scores is temporary.  Once PG rolls out the tournament API, our scoring site will connect to the game and hopefully grab scores and stats automatically.

 

Another cool feature of our scoring site is the automated handicap system.  We will use handicaps for Perfect Golf Tour.  We will be fine tuning the handicap system during the next 4-5 tournaments.

Nope. Handicap system is based on the USGA's formulas. It uses your scores and the course rating/slope to calculate your course handicap for each tournament.

Tournament is now closed.  Congratulations to Gemini for winning our first Perfect Golf tournament, the Illinois Open. Gemini won the tie breaker on hole 5, which was INDEX 1, using the 4th round.

How to start playing in a tournament and enter your scores:

 

Log in to the scoring site: http://www.onlinegolftour.net/

 

click on My Tournaments

Select Perfect Golf Tour

Select Start tournament

then click on Play Round 1, 2, 3, or 4.

 

After you click on the round to play, a scorecard will pop up. Click on the box for each hole to enter the score. Once finished, please post about your round in the appropriate thread.

 

NOTE:

Round conditions must match the conditions posted on the forum.
