first off i have to say the update was good, cept for the putting which will come with time.

on that update i kind of felt short changed when there where no new courses.

what im wondering is how will new courses be handled by PG. i would think that

they will all not be free. will PG sell them as single courses or will there be course packages like they used to do on TW.  also wondering if the people using designing tools to create courses will be able to sell their courses. or will this be more like course downloads for tw08

Dave, in the Steam Forums last Week PP announced that they take Fees for Courses if they have to pay for the Licences.

Up front, I'd be willing to pay a few bucks quid - maybe similar to the way Links 2003 did it where you had a few good course designers (MJ, Mick) selling them as a package or singly. Don't know if I'd be for free ones unless they could be rated by users.

Edit: Oh yes can't forget The Black Swan

:) I would be happy to pay an increase of what MJ and others were charging for ls2003 crs. You just cant beat $10 a crs from these

VERY talented designers. :)

An increase $ because I bet it takes a lot longer to make a PG crs than 2003

Whoa!  $250 for 25 courses?  $500 for 50?  Kind of steep, don't you think?  ;)

Not necessarily… Especially if we are talking about courses that involve licensing.

Interesting thread, but IMHO it's a little early to be talking about buying courses. Let's get the game perfected and I'm sure that PP has a plan on the sale or licensed courses.

I don't care the price of the courses, as long as they are truly recreated with extreme attention to all details... i woudn't paid for courses in the game now...

If I remember correctly, you are a fan of courses, with a lot of candy (I don't mean that as an insult). I doubt that you will see that with the early set of games released. Maybe down the road. I would think like crowds, animals, aircraft, etc. would have a significant impact on the responsiveness of the game.

All I say is that I want to feel the real environment of the course...as much as possible... no need airplane .. but at least all details must be there... specific to the course simply....

10.00 per course is way to much money, you guys with deep pockets are just willing to give up to much.

you have to remember there are a lot of us on fixed incomes that enjoy the game just as much as the next guy with a never

ending bank account. i do believe in paying for extra courses as i was a long time play station player and had to buy extra courses

in the TW series quite often. i remember a time back i ran across MJs page for links with his extra courses and i was happy to see the prices i do believe most where 2.99 or something like that. now that is a price i could deal with, or like someone posted above 10 bucks for 4 course packages would even be better. now i hope none of you guys with the deep pockets take this the wrong way as that was not my intention.

back in a day i used to be one of you but a work place accident took me out of the working world at the ripe young age of 49 and all the savings have been gone through

I don't have deep pockets, nor am I on a fixed income, but $10 a course?   Not sure I will do that.. it would have to be extremely well done.. and I am talking life-like to the actual course... that is, if it is a replica.

There will be designers that will create courses for free, just because they want to... or want to practice gaining experience with U5, terrain and course creation, etc. etc.    I am sure these courses will be a variety of detail and quality, but I would be willing to give them a go just for the heck of playing new courses.  I don't need every single little detail of a course.. I am not going to pick apart or not play a course because there are no garbage cans or turtles in the water.

I wouldn't mind doing reviews either.

Just to touch on a post above.

It is much easier and quicker to design a course using Course Forge

than it was using the APCD for Links. People who were

turned off by the complexity of the APCD will dive right in

to Course Forge, and I suspect we will see many quality

courses very quickly.

⛳ Yes, can't wait till people offer the crss for free or a nominal fee but, you get what you pay for most of the time.
Not saying in any way that PG community members wont be creating some sweet crss but I think you can tell some subtle and sometimes major differences between the finished products. I sure hope they are, say 3 for $10, that would be a smokin deal.
I myself is on a fixed income but the USGov ...after years of going to VA and getting referels to go down town to specialists.....doctors finally deemed me 70% service connected disabled...but thats another thread ⛳

Just like any commodity, it's surely up to the designer how much he wants to charge. If he asks $50 and you don't think it's worth it or can't justify the cost, you simply don't get to play it.

As  Shionka says it will be your choice as to what a course is worth.  Its not like anyone will be forcing you to purchase

Over time certain designers will stand out  and you'd be willing to pay more  for one of their designs.

Some designers may produce courses that are top quality  but give them away for free.

Many  designers will  be giving free courses  and amongst them there will be some  tremendous  creations.

Well designed " Real" courses may attract a premium to offset any licensing fees that are needed

PP have yet to make any announcements of this topic so maybe we are all jumping the gun as to what will happen   but the future looks bright and Im sure everyone whatever their financial situation will be catered for.
