My guess as to what is acceptable and reasonable in gaming today....   $12.50 per month.

That would be $150 per year. The average PC game around here is anywhere from $39.99 to $59.99.

Don't see where $150 is reasonanble. Just my opinion

There is no profitable, constantly updated, consistently improved, always evolving PC game that has a one time fee of $40-$60 dollars.

If that is what PG intends to be/do then you better start rethinking the possibilities.

I don't remember PP saying this game was going to be "ever evolving". At least I hope they didn't. That might make some of us suspicious after the huge debacle of TWO and it's so called "ever evolving" game.. Lmao

If PP can release a golf title with as accurate ball/ground physics as they can with the equipment/data they have at their disposal, there should be no need for the TW-esque annual update.

It could be more along the lines of Links 2003, where the game is 10 years old, has seen a few patches and then a community made patch, but with the game for the most part being as it came in the box in late 2002. No need to constantly purchase a new version every year.

If PP can give us the game we want and the tools to build courses, there is no reason that Perfect Golf can't still be going strong 10 years after it's release, with a huge library of courses to play.

By all means patch the game as necessary, but no need for a new game every year.

As easy as that sounds Daz, it may not be a reality.. does Links 2003 sell well now, on a Win8 platform..? Who would look at it with a year that old next to it.. sometimes people simply want the latest things, new generations also come along and well... times simply change. New Windows releases, new fads, new ways to pay online etc.. everything can change...

Supporting the game in an online way too... if they do aim to, may be something that can be improved, expanded etc and we may see the need to have the main program change and store things either locally or server based..

I think the wordss are.. things change... but you know that really..

Does Win 8 sell well full stop, lol?

Links 2003 doesn't sell well these days, nor should it really, it's 10 years old, but it still has support from the Links community. I suppose it's like asking does TW 2003 still sell well on PC?

By all means, have constant updating/improving and offer DLC - free and chargeable, I just don't see the need for a new game every 12 months, like EA do with TW on the consoles, with very little change to the previous years offering. If changes are minimal, a DLC update should cover this.

So going from the latest news that there will be offline stuff and quite a LOT of it, does this mean the pricing will be leaning towards more of a traditional 40-60$ premium price and that's it?  lot of threads in here suggesting its going to be more of an MMO which it isn't... or is this all just speculation still ??

For me personally, I can't afford any more monthly MMO's but a 1 time free I would definitely do......
