Any chance of ever adding this feature.. In TW's CA, you can make a shape, drop it, the highlight that shape, then increase the size of that shape and drop a different texture down at the increased shape.

So If I drew a fairway and dropped it, I could then, Select the fairway so I go my control points, then just increase them say 10ft, with an Increase/Decrease tool, then change the texture to first cut, then drop it. This way you don't have to draw another complete shape around the fairway, just to make your first cut.. That also works with fringe, water and its banks, etc etc.

Just asking...

This has been mentioned by K11 awhile back.

I think the APCD allowed that too.

At least we can expand and shrink the shapes we draw with CF,

and it only takes a few seconds to draw point to point.

I never cared for cloned shapes much myself, made things seem

a little too, uh, Perfect.

Yeah but with a tool like that, you can increase your first cut, then just pull some control points around. It saves so much time redrawing shapes... For me anyway..I of course, dont like everything to look cookie cutter so to speak but as I said, you can just pull control points to the shape you want.

Time saver.. LIke a complicated bunker, you can increase the shape 6 inches, for your lip, in an instant, then if you want you can pull the cntl points to your needs. Just saves time...Less work, goodness knows theres enough of it for a entire course..

I do agree, though, too perfect doesn't look good but this tool saves time, big time..

playing your 08 courses that i so much enjoyed. i really can't wait to see any of the courses being built by

players. thanks to all you creaters of courses. when the time comes i can see this game getting great when there are

I don't know if it would be simpler  but you could copy the fairway shape then have the functionality to increase the size by "X" feet to create the fringe or bunker lip.

Course Forge does fringe and bunker lips automatically for you.... You can set the sizes yourself

Thanks Dave, very happy you enjoyed my courses  and all for your replies, I am just barely trying to get up and running AGAIN. Maybe I will have better luck this time but not so far..

Rob, be on the look out for pm's, I know I will need some start up advice... ;)

I was a big fan of Axe's courses on TW,and I'm really looking forward to see what he does here at PG using CourseForge. Exciting to imagine where we'll be a year from now.

Takes a few seconds to draw point to point but 10 more minutes adjusting every point after that. A simple clone/copy shape and expand would be best this way you could save yourself LOTS of work and yes it is lots of work because I am doing it to every fairway because that fairway fringe texture that you can add to the fairway (that's suppose to FAKE a light rough) in the library window is not my cup of tea. I want real light rough not a fringe.

And if you're doing a real course you need to get it as close as you can.

You can change the fairway fringe to whatever layer you want ie semi-rough

I think this would be a welcomed feature as well. The downfall of the fringe is the uniform width all the way around. You're bound to run into issues with shapes colliding. I rather start with another shape a fixed distance away, then customize from there.
