I was hoping to get a sense of what screen resolution and MS sensitivity settings others are using (if anyone is up for sharing)

I feel like I've finally got a good handle on my swing tempo and life is better with the swing meter dot moving as slowly as possible.

Others?

The key for me was getting my mouse speed calibrated.  I typically use a very fast mouse speed setting but this is brutal when trying to use motion swing.  So I toned it down to the third dot from slowest in the windows settings.  Then on my mouse (Logitech gaming mouse) I toggle between two different DPI settings - one for doing normal tasks (7,000 DPI) and one for MS (700 DPI).  I have my polling rate set to the max (1000).

This gives me solid control of the swing without making it unwieldy.

These are the in game settings im using, but you also need to take your mouse dpi and Windows settings into account, so 1.9 on my PC might not be the same 1.9 on someone else's

1.2

1.9

2560 x 1080

PG dpi 2200

Win dpi 5000

That's a good point - How can we best share those settings too?

Awesome setup!

That your main TV or is that puppy just for gaming?

If it's your normal TV, where to do you have the KB/Mouse?

I will write a short guide to setting up your mouse swing (no screenshots or videos or anything super fancy), later this evening. I don't presume to be the absolute expert here but I will run through all the basic steps I think one needs to consider to set everything up as perfectly as possible. I will also add a few comments that will hopefully give some context and add some hardware suggestions.

Trath, looking forward to your instructional notes. I'm a 3-clicker but keen to learn the motion swing but have struggled with useful settings. I'm a bit impatient and probably should have persisted a little more but always good to learn from others experiences.

I run a Logitech M510 wireless mouse with the pointer speed one click below the default setting and then in-game I'm currently trying 1.6 & 1.7.

I have the exact same settings as andygev35; I use the horizontal swing and the 1.7 keeps the mouse generally inside the meter on shots, regardless of 122% or shorter.

Do we know what impact the OS scaling settings have on any of this?  (4k monitors below about 35" or so sort of make this required to make things large enough to see)

I'm about ready to throw this game in the garbage - Never been so frustrated in my life trying to get interface settings that are functional, fun and don't radically disrupt my mouse abilities for everything else in the game.  Just so tired of f'in around with this.

Good lord Buck you've changed you're tune. I've read many complimentry posts from yourself regarding PG until this one.
Be thankful you have a 4k monitor. 😉

Just not having any fun with it right now because of the mouse situation being finicky

I always will adjust my thoughts as we go along - Everyone should!

Buck - I'm not sure I fully understand yet what issue you are having? Is it mouse speed or something else??

It's so confusing now - I'm not even sure anymore honestly.

I appreciate the thoughts guys - Not sure any remote troubleshooting can really help.

Got my settings out of whack and struggling - I'll work through it

I can see how that would happen. Only thing I can recommend is resetting everything to default and starting over.

Set your windows mouse speed to the third dot from slowest and then set up two mouse DPI settings in the gaming mouse software.

I use 700 for my swing and 7000 for everything else. Then I just toggle back and forth as necessary. After a while it becomes habit to click to the right DPI setting on the fly.
