Good read, Teddy. At least you are never boring. What valiant resilience on your part against all these vicious aggravations, though.
I'm afraid I can't follow suit and post my goatgetters, they would probably ruffle too many feathers and be answered with the one, purely evil comment I do not want to see EVER around here: TL;DR

Example:
Let's say I'm in Ted's rant thread and I start wondering if we won't see another update until the Linux and Mac problems are figured out
I hate that😬

I'm hearin' ya Teddy, how does that bloke maintain perfect balance at 45 degrees without tippin' over. I go out for a few drinks get to about 10 degrees and LOOKOUT over I go. He's amazing.

Also Teddy I hear today that Australia is ranked 44th in the world for internet speed. Not Good Jan. But with respect we are a huge country with little population. The higher ranked countries were those euro countries that have land masses the size of my back yard. Like seriously.

They screwed a blank plate over my phone jack at my new joint before I moved in Sir James. I'm too scared to ring up Telstra and ask how much it is to get the jack replaced and get me connected to ADSL. I can't afford to faint at my age - I might never wake up. I can only get the 3G network here as well. It's the downside of living in the smallest seaside village in NSW right on the beach with whales leaping and where I get angry when I see another early morning walker two kilometres away on MY beach. It's like Pitt St in the holidays. There might be four people in the distance. Outrageous.

Links tragicsLack of Australian LidarAustralian internet. Greed, gouging, outrageous prices, appalling service, Fibre to Node ridiculousness. Australians are victims of some of the worst service in the world. I could go on and on but even though this is my 666th post I can't speak about my contempt for the Australian corporate environment without being gaoled (jailed) for subversive left-wing propaganda.
On point 1 - hey, that game has been a tank. Kept golf alive on the PC for a decade.
On point 2 - I'm asking around re: .gov email addresses to see if signing in on Geoscience with one will yield results. I have a few engineering type pals that might have ideas too.
On point 3 - it's strange. During the day on NBN I get great speed. At night, I guess everyone has Netflix/Foxtel fired up because I can't even watch a YouTube clip without it lagging. At the moment I kind of miss good stable ADSL2.

By the way, Geoscience, as expected, didn't get back to me regarding opening up LiDAR to non-gov people.
That's a bit of a setback.
