I don't know for sure, but it prolly won't happen until the PC version is released. Based on an interview Andrew had with Architosh, the PC version will release this Fall which I would guess is 6 to 8 weeks away. Thanksgiving would be my laymans estimate. But, I'm just throwing darts at a dartboard blindfolded :)

Thanks Dave... looks a fancy bit of kit and I now realise what some images I've seen recently are referring to.

Cheers.

I'm hoping that PS4 & Xbone versions of PG will follow very shortly as I'm not willing to shell out more money for another new gaming platform.

Yes, a low spec laptop PC and a MacMini. Howevr, I prefer to play games on my PS4 as the graphics are much better and it's more comfortable watching it on my 55" HD LED TV on my recliner chair. ;)

We are currently wrapping up multi controller support for PG which has involved some UI redesign. Once PC version is released we will switch our efforts to Xbox and ps4. Nvidia are leading the shield effort

Exciting news!  I'm very curious to see where a real-time, tempo-dependent, thumbstick controller based swing interface will take this game. I've tried my best to bide my time with 3-click and motion swing.  I lost my desire for 3-click in the late 90's, when Sierra introduced their real time, true swing interface to Front Page Sports Golf.  I liked True Swing in the last three Sierra golf games, and up through Tiger Woods PGA Tour 2006 on the PC.

When Links 2004 came along on the XBox and showed me that it was possible to model a tempo/rhythm swing with a thumbstick controller.  I slowly started turning a away from even a real time mouse swing.  No other golf game since, console or computer, has captured the feeling that Links 2004 had in its thumbstick controller swing interface.  It took that game to another level and defined it, IMO.  As much as I've now been assimilated by the thumbstick controller interface, I think I could be much more into Perfect Golf if its motion swing interface were real time.  I've spent countless hours trying to make a sensual connection with it... it just didn't register with me, although I did eventually get to the point where I could feel the difference between a good swing and a bad one.

I've come to learn that using the token resistance of a thumbstick controller and the golfer's animation as a gauge for my swing modulation is of vital importance to my enjoyment of a golf game.  It will be so refreshing to see that day come for Perfect Golf, and I will finally be able to play this game in a modality that's intimately more familiar to me.

I saw an ad today for a Real Club Swing Results unit called OptiShot Golf.  Only about $300.  It has its own Golf Program to play back the swing results on.

Any thoughts on setting up PG for this?  It sure would be nice.

Jerry

wow that is cheep not a bad price. i remember back in the mid 70s my parents had some stores called House Of Golf we had a huge unit brought in that to hit balls into that analized your swing gave you distance and all the other data of the time on your swing and ball travel and all that stuff i think the units cost 5,000 bucks back then and that was a lot of money in the 70s. hell in 77 i bought a new Trans Am it was a 76 455 Hurst 4 speed the last year that motor was used in the car and i only pd 7,300 bucks for that. so those swing analizers where quite a thing of the time and the biggest screen i had ever seen other then a movie theater. wow have times changed. wow i just did a search on the old store name and found out where his partner who stayed in business a while after they closed their 3 locations let the trademark expire and a ton of other sites have popped up using that name. like i said times have changed. still hunting for the old logo would make a cool avatar.
