I found an app for $4 on Steam that does the trick though.   Works beautifully.  Now I get the best of both worlds.  Can play borderless Windowed mode in full resolution while being able to mutitask on my second monitor.

Ahhh .... I didn't read close enough and forgot about a 2nd monitor.  My 19" monitor would be too hard to see next to my 54" TV/primary monitor (I suspect even if set at 640x480, it would be too small!)  :D

[edit]  BTW, if it continues working well for me I'll definitely buy it. Nice to be able to run it through the paces first though.

Lucky for me I got the free software to work that Acrilix posted about.

Just goes to show, gaming costs and PP aren't even responsible for this one, lol.

No, I've never played in windowed mode. If I need access to my taskbar I just minimise PG using the Windows key.

Dito :) But everyone do it his way :)

Thought I'd revisit this borderless windowed option - had no trouble downloading the program from the link Acrilix provided (which actually led to another link, but no issues getting there).

Pg fullscreen mode IS essentially borderless window mode. This is typical of Unity 5 dx11. Proper fullscreen mode is called exclusive fullscreen and only this mode will SLI and 3DVision kick in. PG has to be forced to use exclusive fullscreen mode (via external utilities) otherwise its essentially borderless window mode.

Yes, I always use windowed or borderless windowed in games when available.

I play in Windowed mode solely for the purpose of keeping Windows from stealing focus. Plus... I can multitask a little easier on those days that I'm "working from home." :)

Nice to see PG taking big screen precedence, lol.

Awesome thanks for this. I need to pick this up as I have the same problem with PG minimizing when I clicked on second screen.
