I am using a stock xbox 360 controller. I am switching what I think is needed in the settings options but nothing is happening. Can somebody give me the step by step instructions so I can use a controller? Not a big fan of the mouse swing. Thanks for any help that can be provided.

Go to Settings > Controls > Swing Type and choose Gamepad Only.

Using the sticks, navigate to Game > Device and change it to Controller Swing.

Under Players > General choose Controller Handedness.

Cool, thanks Crow. I swear I did this but will try again.

A huge TGC guy I like the challenge of this game even more.

Tried the instructions above and it didn't do anything. the only thing the controller is letting me do as far as the swing goes is I can use the "A" button to control the swing meter. Not sure what else do as this should be pretty simple. but again not working.

I can use the same controller with TGC (xbox 360) and no issues.

Me too. Same controller. Same results.

If you follow Crow's instructions.

"navigate to Game > Device and change it to Controller Swing"

In game the 'A' button activates the controller swing and then you can use the stick to swing.

Pulling back sets the power, release stick to initiate downswing and then push forward at the snap point. The combination of stick direction and snap point accuracy will determine where your ball goes.

Yes, got this to work this morning. Pressing "A" in game was the problem I was having. I was more anticipating a real time swing as well.

Instead watching the meter go up then down and then the golfer swings was a little wonky for me being realistic vs a real time swing that mimicked by actual controller swing. Maybe that will be something that comes down the road.

Yes, RTS comes with full integration of the avatar.  They are still working on that.
