You too Acrilix. File size does matter because so far in this game there are no Objects. It would be the geometric patterns overdone that currently makes the file sizes in PG too big.

 

You do understand that, yes?   When it's time to talk about file size increase due to image and sound embedding, that's a whole new topic.

 

And when that does happen, let's not argue about it.  You and I don't need to argue.

 

You and the other two need to respect this forum far more than you have in the past. 

 

Let's all clean-up this adolescent behavior and if and when any of you play me in a game, then you can swear, go on a tryriad do whatever you want during private chat in a game. Vent all you want, it's fine with me.

 

Just help keep this forum clean.

 

It is this type of post and attitude in response to my factual one, and your put down of Buck that causes most of the unrest on this forum.

Have to say the fps fluctuations are quite off putting.  Around same green can get 40fps facing one direction, 140fps the other.  GTX970 on medium settings.  Just want consistent 60fps and don't want to have to go to low settings to get it !!

Also when adjusting aim left/right using controller the fps seems to drop quite drastically, not sure why this is?

I think its time for a break from these forums or at the very least, maybe pop in to the CF forums every once and a while to just read and not post.... getting tired of the condescending tones of the self-proclaimed ambassadors of the game.   I will just get my updates for progress another way.

Your video card can easily handle the game. Please tell us what you have for a CPU, Motherboard and the amount of Memory. We will be better able to help you with the FPS question during Perfect Golf game play.

i5 @ 4.4ghz & 8gig ram

Don't think its a problem my end, and to be fair the courses available before the patch all ran silky smooth for the most part.  Haven't played them again since but first 3 holes of that 'Club Schwarzwarld' FPS is all over the place

Well finally got to play the new update and here is what I saw.  First I played 9 holes at Karen and at the 18:00 time frame so I know its more graphic intense and no problems at all and K11 that is one fine masterpiece you have created and love the course and the water filling up is quite neat I must say.  I then tried Club S and no problems either and there was a slight drop off in FPS but not enough to bother my MS swing and I cant speak for 3C but no problems for me.  Art I must say you really hit a winner here and please push that graphic envelope like you did as that course is a real Beauty and only played the front nine in the OGT event but love the course so far.  I played in Ultra High with everything on and trees pushed to 6.0 with all the sun effects and was getting mostly between 35 and 60 FPS which is more than enough for MS.  I could have made a few adjustments down and maybe got another 10 or 15 FPS but I had no need to so I just left it as it was.  For the record I have a GTX760 card and it can handle Club S with no problem so those with even more powerful cards will be just fine also.  Great update and loving this game more and more each day.

Your computer components should easily handle the game.

 

Considerations:

 

1. Install the most recent driver for your video card

 

2. Close all open programs and pre-launched programs (look in your System Tray) [keep security running]

 

3. Your ISP needs to be consistent. Are you getting at least 15mbps down and at least 1mbps up?

 

4. Are you playing on an HD Televion?  They have slower response times compared to PC Monitors

 

5. Uninstall Steam and delete the Perfect Golf folder inside the Steam folder in Programs(x86). If you have no other Steam games simply delete the entire Steam folder. You can then download everything anew.

 

Tip: Run CCleaner after doing the above. Reboot and visit steam stores, redownload steam and perfect golf.

 

My FX8350 is similar in performance to your i5 @ 4.4  (click the banner at end signature).

 

Here is the game being played and recoreded with the GTX 970. If my system can go both tasks without a hitch, then yours should easily play the game with patch 8.3.

You are getting bad frame rates in your clip, perhaps it's because you're recording...but seriously before i go deleting my entire steam folder... why don't you tell us what fps you get on 6th hole standing at the tee? (42fps on medium with my set-up)
