We are pleased to announce the final bug fix release for 1.3.8. Our next release after this one will be 1.3.9.0 and will include all the new animations. the following sumarizes what is in this release:

Courses

New Course - Club Schwarzwald by Art Patscheck
New Course - Karen by K11

A special thanks to these designers who offered to have their courses released officially in this update

New Course - An in game practice facility with 9 holes to test all parts of your game.

Bug Fixes and improvements

Fix Memory Leak inside UI

Fixed F4 Camera Message in Swing meter

Elimination of Text Artifacting on Alt Tab

Fixed Flickering on Landing Cam

Added Team Colors to Team Dropdown in Pre Game

Add Outer Spline around hole cup to eliminate sudden ball movement around the edge of the cup

Added a check to close existing session when starting a new multiplayer solo or tournament round

Fix for Transparent Terrain some people are experiencing

Fix for Spectator Camera originating underground

Fix for Spectator Camera not following ball on shorter putts

Fix for Computer player hitting backwards when he has the honor following a simulator player putting out on last hole

Fix for forward snap cam catching and overtaking the ball

Fix for snap line color so it can be seen in the bunkers

Changed controller Free Cam Routine. It is now Left Trigger and dpad down. We did this to avoid changing the club and shot type when activating the free cam

Added Left Trigger plus Dpad Up to hide golfer on controller

Fixed hide golfer

Fixed some F3 views going sideways

Fixed hidden bug that threw errors to console

Fix for user keys impacting computer playing while he is playing

Added back Turn grid on during opponents shot

Changed the way the shot shaper works with the controller. You now move the dot around with the stick left and right without it centering back. This enables you to get it all the way into the corners with the controller

Fixed shot center not being reset on tee box

Added device to tournament score reporting so events can be for a specific swing type down the road

Fix for TEST showing on Results screen

Client Server Clean up code to remove unnecessary calls between client and server

Changes to swing meter (6 o clock start for normal shots and less overrotation at the top)

Added Sliders for Brightness, Contrast and Saturation so you can get the game just the way you like it

Fixed a Skins bug where the game would give a tying player a putt when he was out of gimmie range

Added additional anti cheat reporting and penalties for tournaments. Restarting using in game resume prior to clicking the post shot screen will now result in a penalty.

Improvements to the forward snap cam to stop rotation at end

Improvements to putting reverse camera

Fix for terrain going dark when camera tilts down

Fix for controller being able to use lob and pitch etc from the sand

Reduced Follow Cam Putting side offset at beginning of putt

Minor fix on Ball / Marker visibility

Fixed Pro Shop Headings

Fixed Chat so you can type while opponents ball is in play and post shot screen is up. You still cannot type while your own post shot screen is up. This is to ensure UI focus is maintained for controller.

Bug fix Southampton - eliminated black areas from ocean, fixed mesh on 9th green and smoothed some other pin placements slightly. Improved green/fringe, fairway and rough textures

New Features

We Continue to look to add New Features requested by our users

Custom Flags in game. There are no courses with this feature yet but custom flags can now be set in Course Forge

We have also now added all the tee markers to the game. In addition we have added a Preferred Tee setting to the player general settings. When games are created they can be set to a specific tee in which case a players preferred tee is overridden, or they can be set to any in which case the player will play from his preferred tee. This enables multiple people on the same machine or in game to play from different tees. For Father Son simulator players this is important.

Simulator Integrations

We have been finalizing and adding Various Simulator Integrations including Sky Trak, Trackman and our own TCP IP integration for third party applications.

A Happy holidays to all! Thanks for sticking with us....

Playing in a window, swing animation and actual shot/sound seem to be off. Will test fullscreen after I sober up.   :P

Fantastic guys. Great work.

Wot Ted said.

Thanks very much for everything... and if people don't like it, fook 'em. This is shaping up to being the mutts nuts of a game/sim as far as I'm concerned.

Just played 2 holes at Karen.

When putting the ball goes in motion before being struck by the putter.

From the tee or from the fairway the follow cam sets off too early so you don't see the ball being struck by the club.

Hole 1 on Hidden canyon. I was 3" from the hole. After starting the putting stroke I second clicked only a fraction after the snap line.

Then the game would not let me click for the third time at the snap line.

Practice facility!!!! Yes! Thank you!

Sorry. I have to tone down my enthusiasm. While the practice course is well done and interesting and certainly has it's uses, it is far from what I was hoping for. I'll keep waiting for a range where I can choose what shot I want to practice and get some feed back like you get on the current driving range. In real life golf I can feel if I have hit a chip or pitch flush, fat or thin. I know if I hit it flush and it goes too far I hit it too hard. In PG there is no way to tell the difference between a chip hit with the right tempo that goes too far because it was hit too hard, and a chip that goes too far because it was hit thin. The only way to "feel" the difference between those two examples is with the post shot info given on the current driving range.

I hope one day it will be possible to choose the shots you want to practice.
