I will start a thread about what we would like to see when course creators create their course.
Like to see members tees in about the 6000 to 6500 range for sim play. Ladies tees need to be about 5200 to 5500. All courses should have at least these two tees for sim play. Holes on these tees need to be reachable with distances within reason. Average men won't get much more than 250 yds with roll for drives and ladies will be more like 200 yds. With this in mind par 4's 400 yards is a bit of a test and 450 gets to be unreachable. Ladies par 4's could be in that 340 yard max range. This will need others input.OB should be kept to the perimeter of the course. No OB between holes.Hazard red steaks should be used on any drop off area so that if a ball does go in there at least you have an option to drop and not need to hit out of the area as most times you can't. Also if buildings are in play they almost need hazard lines around them as we can't get free drops.Watch the greens slope as to not have an unreal slope. Pins should not be on the side of a hill with major slope.Keep tee boxes 100% level. Watch uphill shots so that they are not unreasonable. Like no 50 yrd uphill shots on a par 4 440 yd hole. Again on members tees.

Have made a little sheet to help configure a course length based on the shots needed to hit greens.
I did it a while ago so cant remember the source of the calculations but worked out pretty well on optishot tour.Probably not the most exacting thing, but might be handy for people when creating courses?
